Great video guys. Bluestone Lake and Blue Stone state park are a real treasure for vacationers. I worked on the lake master plan (all 22,000 acres) which stretches all the way into Virginia and the max flood control pool extends under the Route 460 bridge. That master plan was published in 1975 and some of those features (like the boat ramp under the Route 20 bridge) were part of that plan. One feature never realized was the trail along the Bluestone River (you walked up that way by the state park) that would have connected Bluestone State Park to Pipestem State Park down at the canyon lodge. It’s a terrific place to fish and boat and the Shanklins Ferry campground up on the river is a great place to camp and fish. Enjoy.

I was very fortunate to play seed time on the Cumberland. One of my best memories was jamming with Mathew and Carrie kline (hope i spelt that right) on songs like timberline. Great mountain people. Appalshop will always be in my heart. We even went up to jim webbs place on pine mountain...awesome.. whitesburg people are just like the people of south wales, friendly and welcoming and both places have had the mines ripped away from them.Giant sideshow rooster and bill and the bells were among the many great artists were lucky enough to hear and meet. Stay safe whitesburg and god bless you all.

I moved to WV from Las Vegas, NV. This place is awful. All the dilapidated houses and businesses. None of the restaurants are any good. The river, the mountains, waterfalls and fall colors are beautiful. But beyond that, this is too poor of a state to enjoy.

I was born and raised near King Tut. We ate there at least every two weeks. I no longer live in WV but EVERY time I’m there I make a daily trip there!! The pizzas are killer! The BBQ and (twice) baked potato is superb!!! Loved it since 1969!!!

Been going there since the 60's. I live in Florida now but every trip to my hometown includes a few stops at King Tut. I love the Pizza burger and twice baked potatoes. Coconut cream pie is fabulous too!!

I’m drunk and about to eat one now, take out. Glad I don’t have to go in blind. I don’t like to be startled, I can get a little aggressive when I’m startled.
