Excellent vocal technique ... far superior to many of the names trotted out here in comparison. It's a tough profession and a vastly underrated skill as anyone who has tried it can attest. I DID try and failed miserably AFTER telling everyone how easy it would be...!! The Shipping Forecast beckons ..

A lot of E.F Benson's stories seem to be set in East Anglia
Several are, yes, along with East Sussex and Cornwall, both areas where he’d lived.
The best bedtime stories
This is a story where it leaves you at the end, thinking. Such was Benson's real genius. He didn't just narrate a tale; he finishes it...and then you are left with.."goodness, I wonder..."

Never the brightest spark, I’ve only just realised that you are the reader at the E F Benson Society gatherings, which sadly, living out in the sticks, I have never been able to attend. “What a joy!” as Mapp would say, that you’re bringing this wonderful writer back to public notice.

I first discovered the works of E.F. Benson on your channel and I’ve become a big fan of you both. Today a video popped up with someone else narrating one of his stories. Naturally the first thing I did was check to see if you had also narrated this story and was disappointed to find that you had not. I tried to listen to the other narrator and found that I could not! It just wasn’t the same at all!! 😩😂
