I not recommend a 3060 ti for now, a 4070 super will be the perfect choice now. The quest 2 is still great in my opinion.

Reduce your fov with oculus debug tool, you get a increase of 50% performance. Mine is at 0.6 and 0.76

45 FPS stable with the last configuration. The biggest improvement comes from reducing the FOV with Oculus Tray Tool... mine is set at 0.63x horizontal and 0.76x vertical, this render only 47% of the total pixel quest 2 will render with no FOV reduction. This trick doesn't reduce quality, it's worth trying.

@@guilhermebechtinger Thank you very much my friend. I want to get the quest 3 for Christmas and I don't know whether to upgrade my graphics card to the 4070. My specs are 5600x '3060ti' and 32gb Ram.

What matters most to me is not to get dizzy and achieve stable FPS without sacrificing graphic quality....but I'm sure like everyone else

Do you think it could fly with the current specs with the quest 3? all the best

Olá João, não me agradou em nada o DLSS. Para uso sem VR é ótimo e realmente aumenta o FPS mas no VR fica muito perceptível o desfoque que o algoritmo do DLSS faz na imagem, principalmente no cenário. Esse desfoque me incomodou muito. Além disso, a questão das telas MFDs deixarem rastro deixa tudo muito pior. Preferi ficar com o MSAA em 2x e uma resolução inferior. O anti-aliasing DLAA deixa tudo muito melhor que o MSAA mas borra tudo, me deu um certo desconforto nos olhos, não sei explicar. Me adiciona no discord para gente conversar sobre hardware. Também estou querendo atualizar o meu mas é tanta dúvida, além da falta de dinheiro, que dificultar tudo. Meu usuário lá é gbechtinger

You don't need Oculus tray tool to get s good performance with your system.

@@killraine0712 32gb is needed, but check your resolution multiplier on quest 2 PC software, try to lower to 1.1x at 90hz.

Are you using the Multi thread version of the game? What si the multiplier resolution on your PC quest app? I'm using 1.1x at 90hz

Try to erase the metashader and fxo folder inside the DCS installation folder.

Oculus app .9x at 72hz, I wipe the metashader and fxo before every session. I'm currently going through various guides and in groups on Facebook but I keep getting told it's because my card is no good by the same people that buy 4090s on release 🤬

It's enough to get a good resolution, but a 3080 will give you a butter smooth experience.

I have a Ryzen 5800X3D + RTX 3060 TI + 32Gb 3200Mhz Ram -> Running GS(Growling Sidewinder) sorties around 36Fps with configs on Low, resolution 1.3x on Oculus software + VRPerfKit. Would like to know your benchmark @Guilherme

Try cleaning your texture folders: fxo and metashader2 at C:\Users\youruser\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta. Your CPU isn´t good enough, are you using the latest OpenBeta version with Multi-threading capability? this will end you CPU bottleneck.

I'm using the link cable, no way to play over wifi here, so much delay. Lower your texture on DCS and lower the pixel density on quest app to 1.1x

Great! my biggest problem when printing is the jiggle on the hats, months after the first print I reprint them and give more attention to the sanding of the stem... now all of them are perfect, with no jiggle.

@@guilhermebechtinger ive printed just 1 HAT and I couldn't believe how well it turned out. Every single part fit like a glove. Im currently printing new halves of the grip in 100% infill instead if 20% to get more strength. I also printed the top cover in 109% and its insanely sturdy. I also went from 50 mm/s down to 40mm/s to see if I could get better quality on my prints. Im using an ender 3 pro. I also use a ass bed with stick glue on it and I get crazy good adhesion. Also EVERY part for this stick I use supports everywhere. It takes a bit longer but its well worth it. Cheers!

It will run ok, but with textures on medium/low and offline. If you want to increase the textures you'll need a GPU with a bigger VRAM and if you want to online multiplayer you´ll need 32GB RAM.

For offline play with simple missions is ok

Do you plan to use a VR headset? if yes, the 3060ti will not be enough... probably only the 3090 will work ok on ultra at VR. if no VR, the 3060ti will be enough.

@@EaglefireflyGaming are you using the key bind "vr zoom"? this gives you a temporary zoom that can help spot bandits at a higher distance.

@@guilhermebechtinger yeah I have figured that out. But there is so much distance shimmer I can pick anything out until I am ontop of them. Even dcs chat is pixellated and and of the server messages that come through are huge. Like the res is way too low. Presume you cant change that?

now I'm using 72hz with 1.3x resolution on quest software. You should have 45fps with this setup.

I'm using the link cable and no extra software, it's 45 with Oculus ASW creating the rest, so it gives the feeling of 90. Some minor imperfections will appear but worth it.

I'm using the embedded quest 2 recorder, so no performance hit.

@@snwilliam6886 if you're using the quest 2 you'll need the app sidequest on your pc to change the quest 2 recording resolution from 4:3 to 16:9
