A Hint; I bought a stuff sack with two open ends... The sack will hold the ridgeline with the tarp still connected...First untie from the tree...Put that ridgeline into the bag with the end sticking out like a pig's tail...Then walk down the line stuffing the line with tarp still connected into the bag until you get to the other tree...untie your line from that tree ...stuff into the bag ,leaving another pig tail sticking out of this end of the double open stuff sack...When you are ready to set up ...Take one of the pig tail, tie off to a tree then walk toward other tree and play out the line with Tarp until you are at second tree ...tie off that end...This way you setup your ridgeline in about 3-4 minutes...If you have a Hammock with the tarp connected you could use Snake Skins and do the same setup...Fast setup in rain and everything stays dry if you stake out the tarp first...
I am making the 1st Magnetic stove!
@@TabooRevolution13 induction stoves...
@@frankbush333 Yes but not with wire coils! Just a tiny motor that spins the magnets! Seems like a more energy efficient way to do a stove than normal induction!
@TabooRevolution13 the frequency of the magnetic field changes per second is the challenge, it needs to be between 25,000 and 50,000 per second. Spinning magnetic disks tend to break at that level of rpm's, good luck!
@@frankbush333 I'm using smaller magnets for more magnetic polarity flops!
@TabooRevolution13 understood, which in turn decreases the eddy current intensity hence temperature output in the cooking steel. It is a tricky under taking, good luck.
Hello Frank, I just looked at this video again, and I noticed how beautiful this site is. Curious how I didn't see it the first time 🙂Waiting for your next video
@louis6569 Hi Louis, it is a lovely spot, hopefully will make a new one soon, just been busy with life, lol.
Using bigger gauge wire might be advisable
I use the wire supplied with the inverter stock.
Beware of drinking "wild water" in or around a city, especially right after or during a rain as it could be contaminated with medical waste, industrial chemicals and heavy metals which regular filtering and boiling will not remove (boiling will actually concentrate them).
Hi Frank, how would this be with the power inverter to power 150-200 watt led lights we use on tennis courts? everybody usually brings their power stations like eco flow etc usually only 500 wh. this seems like it would be a better set up. Thank you.
@@king1ny these sit at 1280 wh in comparison, losses etc. Ball Park twice the performance.
@@frankbush333 thank you Frank. I'm just wondering if I should just buy a regular power station because it seems like it would be too much to lug around. We usually play like four hours at night and a few guys bring power stations so I thought this would be a better alternative but I think I'm better off just a regular power station. Thank you for your help.
@king1ny ya you could throw a basic setup in a milk crate and it would be cheaper but I get it... thanks for watching more coming soon cheers

Why don't you use number thirty six bank line

Not sure this is most rfficient spproach. Magnetic induction seems like a better approach. You could run a DC motor with a disk containing slternate N S magnets or do a mosfet inverter circuit with a flat induction coil.
@@miken7629 induction takes at least 300 watts to get 2 cups of water to a boil this take half that
Very cool! Thank you thank you. Now I dont have to buy amsteel, i can just use the abundant paracord I already have.
Check out my modular ropecraft systems you may like those even more
@frankbush333 I have been watching your other vids - very useful stuff - I may have to get some amsteel and bank line after all, eventually! For now I made 4 of these paracord whoopie slings and I'm gonna try them for hanging hammocks. People say not to use paracord for hammocks bc it stretches, but my son and I are both pretty lightweight so we will see how it goes. I imagine we may have to re-tighten things a few times, but it can only stretch so far. 🤞

so your portable station is 300w ac inverter? have you hooked up all 3 outputs to see how much your station can handle
@@vrrevolution9183 the portable solar generator has a 600w ac output and my dc switch power supply 24v can handle up to 700w.
I use 2 devices for this sort of stuff, a 12v rice cooker can be used as an egg frying pan, has the same ptc elements but is lower powered. And for boiling water just dunk a 12v immersion heater in a good thermos, then u can have your hot water ready to go any time of day or night with no waiting around. Think I'll have to make something like this for grilled cheese sandwich tho
Did you contact the vendor, tell him the facts of your experience? What did the vendor say? Did he offer anything like another unit or a refund? In what year did you buy it?

@@SarahStuff-p5u Glad you enjoyed thanks for taking the time to watch more coming soon cheers.
I have a few questions : 1 : isn't it strange that there is a limitation in the solar generator 12V outlet when the battery has a 12V voltage and can handle more than 10A, when the 110V outlet which requires electronics has a much higher limitation ? 2 : what is the advantage using the 110V-24V converter powered by the 12V-110V inverter to charge the solar generator using the solar port, when you could simply use the AC/DC plug connected directly to the inverter (don't know if my words makes sense :-) ? 3 : I have a 12V-220V modified wave inverter, do you know what devices can be used or not used with this inverter ? I have no doubt for lamps, but can I use it to recharge my computer and other electonices devices that use a wall charger ? Thanks for the video Frank
@@louis6569 1) it is the wire amperage capability and the fuse that limit the 12v the overcurrent protects stops them from blowing or burning out. The 110v in this model is at best pulling 6.5 amps through the wires. The higher the voltage the less amperage is needed ex: watts = volts x amps. 2) the 24v simulates solar panel equivalent voltages, there are losses in the system but it allows one main central battery bank to power multiple smaller ones without taking up multiple ac ports and the need for multiple block chargers, one for each one. Plus the flexibility of swapping out for 12v equipment use easily with minimal additional equipment ie: the buck converters each of which can be additionally used as independent battery-less systems. 3) 220v is used in many different countries and 120v is also used in many countries it is the standard voltage the country has chosen and appliances are designed to work within those countries, you can find devices for either voltage, hope this helps.
@@frankbush333 thanks Frank for your answer
@@louis6569 I think for 1) you were talking more about the connection between the battery and the inverter... ya they use a thicker awg wire for that connection normally 1.25x the max amps rated for the inverter. For the 12v 10amps is standard on the cigarette lighter sockets I just think it should be 15-20 as there are lots of devices that uses higher levels.
