When you see an 86-pound anorexic girl or a 500-pound woman becoming influencers, it’s a tricky situation. Sponsors often support them to make money, not to help them. People might compliment them online, but they’re probably thinking something else privately. There’s a lot of peer pressure to say nice things and avoid backlash, even if it means ignoring the real issues. This whole situation shows how social media can glorify unhealthy behaviors, yet the need to be heard and seen at all costs always ends up being the winner. The reality is that followers never grow organically to the level of hundreds of thousands. There is always some monetization involved to be heard and seen. Perhaps that is part of the problem? If we all played fair and square, people wouldn’t feel so desperate to be noticed. I get branding and marketing strategies, but in the old days, one would get real customers-today, the percentage of real customers suffers due to bots and recycled social media marketing lists. Ladies, it’s a great topic. Love how it aligns with my research & work. ❤️

I was adopted and I never had that burning curiosity. Maybe because I was told when I was very young, I just never felt the need to look. They obviously had their reasons. I've personally seen situations like this that have turned out to be wonderful and some that turned out to be a disaster. You really have to decide if the risk will be worth any potential reward.

I watched a little bit of this podcast and had some thoughts in regards to open marriages/relationships or just having more connections in life - whether romantically/sexually or just on an emotional/friendship level. I find that some relationship can be very restrictive when it comes to expanding and making more connections with others. Many relationships can be somewhat fragile and limiting as often partners restrict one another from connecting with the opposite gender out of their own fears, insecurities or agendas etc. When it comes to soul and personal expansion other people help us to expand and develop. So when in a relationship a man or woman is restricted from making friends or connecting with the opposite gender it can be very detrimental to their development during their lifetime. We evolve, learn and grow from our interactions with others so being free to connect with as many different people that one wants to or resonates with can really help evolution and development of the individual. I personally wouldn't want to limit the development of another soul or individual so would always allow/encourage others to have total freedom.

Oh, you got it on the nail. I avoid these people. Nobody wants to hang around negative energy. It ruins your mood quick

Oh, wow, yeah, I've known someone like that, it drove me crazy. I had no problem walking away from them.
