    I've ran a 16" for so long now that going with anything shorter just feels odd. I've definitely trained with way shorter and taken indoor and low light classes with shorter but now practically all training is done with a 16". BUT.... When running suppressed I've been sticking with a 12.5" with a surefire can that turns the barrel into a 16.5". I tried running a low light course with my LWRC 16" with suppressor and it was definitely too much.... Kept getting stuck in corners and bumping my rifle off of walls. Switched back to my BCM 12.5" suppressed.

    I believe in the 20” gun with every fiber of my being. Mainly because it turns training ammo into duty ammo and is really easy to shoot and easy on components. I take the AR as Gene Stoner envisioned it, because he knew exactly what he was doing.

    4d pads more comfy but a big down grade in impact protection, you think you are being a tactical tuff guy by mocking a “skateboard” liner but i am guessing you have no clue the impacts those are engineered to take. A great visual would be go watch X games freestyle air competition 5:27 in either skateboarding or BMX, i’ll wager these guys are taking way more frequent and severe hits that any tactical dudes short of actually being shot in the head of course. Anyhow congrats on your impact downgrade.

    Overall, your video is good. There’s some things I have discrepancy about but the biggest discrepancy I’m gonna put are you talking about in general or are you talking about law enforcement or military? Those are two different animals in general you know that means but I want to say what mean by that is civilian like civil unrest. Did you see the movie Civil War? That was some horrible fighting with a Boogaloo boys

    Now we go into partner you say you’re in a team right a team right are you talking about a partner that you never worked with? That’s also in a different team right then you should know better. Same training communication even this is military law-enforcement you always do runs right so in that aspect, there should be nothing said about it now if it’s a random dude like Ukraine, for example or different country or 2020 BLM riot. Different person no training then that’s a different story.

    I like the term "professionalism" when you discussed staying at low ready until the target is properly identified, but I think its more than that. A big part of that is proficiency and confidence. If you know you can get behind the gun and send off a couple well placed shots lightning quick, you'll feel more comfortable keeping your muzzle low longer.

    • @RandomNylonGuy
      @RandomNylonGuy 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      100%. Proficiency and confidence are what people should get the most out of flat range trainings, hence the "up drill" but many people fail to achieve so to begin with. They forget any of that when stepping into 3D space and hold the rifles in front of their faces, because the lack of "proficiency and confidence" makes them feel they are never ready for a fight so they want to pose themselves in the most "ready" stance they know. I've seen guys stressing the hell out of themselves by doing the "tactical walk" and drenched in their own sweat wearing T shirts in 30F night.

    • @Modern_Warrior_School
      @Modern_Warrior_School 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@RandomNylonGuy Exactly. That's what I try to instill in my students from the start: subconscious mastery of the fundamentals with conscious awareness of one's abilities. Obviously gunfights induce stress, but one should never be doubting thier abilities. That's exactly why we do so many repetitions in practice - not just to build proficiency, but the confidence that comes with it.

    I just got my belt and I'm confused why you wouldn't reverse the placement of the pad and the velcro loop piece. Doing it the way in the video makes a large portion of the pad go ontop of the excess main belt when donning on the front 0:25 . Wouldn't you want the pad against your body instead of the non-grippy placeholder?
