WHILE THE SPEAKER HAD SOME GOOD INSIGHTS TO CONSIDER, I STILL DON'T SUPPORT BEING ANONYMOUS. IN SPITE OF THE REASONS GIVEN, AS A CHRISTIAN, WHERE DO WE SEE THIS ADVOCATED IN SCRIPTURE? TAKING A STANCE ON THINGS BEARS A POTENTIAL COST, AS IT SHOULD. AND WHERE IS THE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR WHAT YOU SAY? "Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe." -- Proverbs 29:25

YOU ATTRIBUTE THE LEADERS ACTIONS TO INCOMPETENCE; BUT THEN GO ON TO SAY THAT THEY MAKE CHOICES THAT WILL PROTECT THEIR JOBS. AND SO WILL DO AND NOT DO AND SAY THINGS TO MAINTAIN THE ORGANIZATIONS 'NARRATIVE'. IF THIS IS TRUE, THIS IS NOT INCOMPETENCE. THIS IS DELIBERATELY MAKING 'INTELLIGENT' AND EVEN RELATIVELY 'WISE' DECISIONS TO PROTECT YOUR OWN INTEREST. IF TRUE, THIS IS SINFUL; BUT NOT INCOMPETENCE. IF THIS

It's ironic that I agree with most of what Doug said being a dispensationalist myself. I'll never understand how such learned men can be so ignorant on certain subjects. Dispensationalism (true dispensationalism and not Scoffieldian ageism) has NEVER said or even suggested that judaism is a parallel way to heaven, Christ has always been the basis of everyone's salvation throughout all of history (whether looking forward to Him or looking backwards to the cross) and every single believer is part of the one family of God.

Dispensational Premillenial view is the correct view. How does The antichrist rise to power if the world gets better and better and more and more people become believers? There are so many questions A and Post does not have good answers for. I would love to hear some exegesis without allegorical interpretations.

Why do you white supremacists claim what is not yours? You mention "communists" frequently. This is nothing more than your deceitful way of saying black Africans. There has never been communism in Zimbabwe or South Africa. Can someone honestly explain what claim you think you have? And dont talk about "economics". This not a means to ascertaining ownership of a thing. Saying Apartheid has "tedious, minor indignities" really tells one a lot about this racist guest. Honour to he who defends what is his from this multitude of robbers and thieves. Honour to Vietnam, honour to Mozambique and honour to Zimbabwe.

Maybe they have integrity, which Davis showed he lacks. J. Chase Davis, co-pastor of The Well in Boulder, Colo., went beyond merely muddying the waters for Basham and plunged head-long into a well of falsehoods. Davis, in “Shepherds for Sale Turns up the Heat on Gavin Ortlund,” accuses Ortlund of “trading on his family name,” thinking “he is above being questioned,” displaying “typical passive-aggressive pietistic contempt” and a “staggering level of naivete.” These are simply baseless insults. Further, in a laughable act of projection, Davis claims the reviews, like those above, have refused “to engage with the ideas and factual claims and instead have resorted to character assassination in order to signal to others that she should not be trusted.” It’s not possible to make a statement more opposite of the truth. He repeats the debunked Basham claim about Ortlund, “The only reason evangelicals don’t care (about climate change) like he does is because they are motivated by politics.” In actual fact, Ortlund says people may come to a different conclusion than him.

Speaking as a Presbyterian: Particular Baptists proper, i.e. those who are confessional historic particular baptists, in the 2LBCF 1689 chapter 22 paragraphs 7-8 hold to the doctrine of the sabbath. So those “reformed” Baptists with their covenant theology had the same hermeneutics as reformed Presbyterian. Not sure Jacob’s hard wedge between ceremonial and moral stand up in light of his own tradition.

Hey, I wanted to clarify my position for you. My view on this topic is not determined by the Reformed tradition. I agree with 95% of the LBCF but I have large disagreements with Chapter 22 Paragraph 7-8. We actually addressed this at one point in the discussion roughly the 53Min mark, when I was asked how I deal with the fact that my view is counter to the Reformed Church Tradition . I’m a Sola Scriptura man through and through. Hope this helps.

Keep having this conversation-really appreciate your honesty and courage to admit your mistakes. You don’t know how encouraging it is to see pastors have the humility and integrity to look honestly at what has happened within the church and culture over the last decade. I am one of those who was so heart-broken over what I saw unfolding during Covid and BLM. The deafening silence (or silencing) of pastors and ministry leaders who should have been advocating for truth (not turning into social justice advocates) almost black-pilled me to “church”. But the courage of people like you (and placing my hope only in Him) have helped me to keep pursuing the One who is the way, the truth, the life! Blessing from a fellow truth-seeker in Colorado Springs🙏

I left Christianity because I was forced into it and couldn't really believe it anyway. I often thought of Jesus vs money changers. It is something the SBC hates talking about. I see the SBC as a bunch of Karens that listened to Focus On The Family, and were sure if they told their boys that rubbing one out sends them to hell, their boys would go wife up women and pop out a quiverfull. Also, foreign aid bad, unless it gives Israel more ammunition. Maybe if I wasn't stuck with the SBC, I would not have such a foul distaste. I saw the SBC and adjacents as a bunch of blue pill salesmen. Christians can find the redpillers as distasteful as they like. However, if the dating advice from holy men is ineffective blue pill platitudes, masses may reason that everything the holy man ever said was a lie. That would result in people going to the redpill or blackpill, because they find some kind of truth. Maybe if a congregation was motivated to do that sort of thing, I'd join them. I sometimes read the "Go back to religion" argument, and say weebs and otakus should go shinto. I think I do it because I enjoyed the people who said "Choose Jesus" but knew that was a useless argument. I saw the megachurch and what you call managerialism in a similar way. I always saw megachurch pastors as corporate motivational coaches. Basically they took the same motivational NPC script from megacorps, then sprinkled in references to God and Jesus. I saw motivational scripts as a huge scam. I said the best thing a motivational slogan user should take motivational posters, curl them up, and shove them. I argued that if holy men actually dispensed religious experience, I'd actually be able to believe. I was never able to believe. It was like ordering my brain to believe 2+2=3 and expecting it to accept that. When I read about managerialism, I think of the tedpill arguments. I argued that a competency crisis was explained by the film Idiocracy. Smart people remember condoms, the idiots forget. Eventually the smart genes go extinct. Some say "Then ban condoms." I say "Make smart people actually want to reproduce." Distributist Dave had another argument about why "Go to the 1950s" does not work. His argument is that what happened in the 1950s inevitably led to the 1960s. Just go back is like saying that Sisyfus just needs to roll the rock uphill again. I made fun of the "Bring back Reagan" argument and argued that such things led to the Blackrocks and Vanguards. I see it as "Communism therefore bad, therefore unlimited private ownership good." I suspect that thinking is why Ayn Rand wrote Atlas Shrugged. 55:00 I often argue that to bring it back, one must create some sort of insurance policy that when you live that traditional organic life, you get whatever long term satisfaction there is supposed to be. I make the argument that life is going to have a certain number of normies, and a certain number of misfits. The normies must not crush the misfits into failed normies. The misfits must not write rules that treat the normies like one of them. I sometimes bring in the argument by St Thomas Aquinas that prostitution has to be tolerated.

2020 was when I heard of the Moldbug Cathedral. I felt something click when I heard about it. When I heard that combined with the Vox Day Midwit, I felt like I had heard something that did far more than years of the same boomercon talking points.

Megan Basham on journalistic integrity. In light of recent events, this hasn’t aged well.

We are here: a significant part of Christianity in the United States is actually only tenuously Christian in any sense that is seriously connected to the actual historical Christian tradition, but has rather substantially morphed into Christianity's misbegotten step cousin, Christian Moralistic Therapeutic Deism.

Do you have any book recommendations around what you mentioned as historic Protestant Christianity primarily defining masculinity as pursuing excellence and dominating a field? There is a clear difference between nominal Christian culture vs true gospel Kingdom culture. Your description of Chandler’s stance on the two being confusing or contradictory is not a fair critique in my opinion. You’re very hard against 3rd-way-isms. Do you believe that currently the Republican Party has the more God glorifying stance on every policy issue? Last thing to mention, I know you can’t control the comments but I think you should consider directly addressing inappropriate or degrading comments that only intend to tear down, or at least mention in your videos expectations for the comment section.

This might actually be my favorite episode of yours. I'm not a pastor so I enjoyed your insider knowledge here. Also, it's a next level of torture to have to endure Lacrae's hemming and hawing at 1.25x speed to Matt's corny platitudes.

Chase, would you consider doing a video exclusively on 3rd Way-ism?
