Two things are incredibly brilliant: the use of magnets, and the cleverly designed axis that pushes the segments according to the digits. That's fantastic.
The best part about this is its energy efficiency, with a solid key holding the bars open and a magnet pulling them back, you only need energy to change state after which it's static.
Unique, and looks really cool... but, I'd not want one as a clock in my home; after a short period of time the quiet noise it makes would drive me crazy and I'd kill it. The sound it makes is even worse than the ticking of a clock.
niiiice really dig the use of the camshaft instead of pcbs or something - much more reliable and elegant design... well, with the proper materials at least.
You'd get used to it. People get used to sleeping with snoring, ac or tvs and those are much louder than this will be. Remember also people have regularly been dealing with the sound of clocks ticking or shutters of flip clocks for years, including as bedside alarm clocks long before digital clocks came around.
Lame! Earned my thumbs down! Another uploader who still hasnt learned to talk. Just providing boring video that doent give details, explanations, or any information information
I bet Fran Blanch would pop her everlovin cogs over this. at first i thought HTF does this work? is it some kind of CGI trickery? because I could not see any seams. but now I know! totally Awesome! ❤👍
The most beautiful clock in the world. I must have one. Do you sell the plans/instructions for people like me who still believe what you’ve done is sorcery?
problem is that it has many moving parts and makes a sound every minute. This is not something I would want in a bedroom or any place where I can hear it
@@TayWoode no, I'd actually get rid of it, just like I got rid of my mechanical nightstand clock, as soon as I found something silent to replace it. I don't need a clock anywhere in my home aside from the bedroom. Time is easily accessible on all tech & appliances today
@@rodnyg7952 why would you get a mechanical clock if you hate the sound so much? Can’t you just use your phone in the bedroom as an alarm instead of having any form of clock?

that's gorgeous, i really didn't understand how it worked for a second
Very impressive. Well done sir!
Somebody should make a oujia board with this design

Incredible alarm clock ⏰

Shut up and and take my money!!!
Patrick, are you shy? You should talk a bit.
As a wise man once said: "What sorcery is this?!"

This clock is soo cool...looks like a horror film clock...the time morph is so settle....i want one
Brilliant !!!
did you 3d print that? if so, do you sell the files/plans/parts list? that thing is super awesome and i'd love to make one.
Must consume a lot but it's very cool
With a well placed light source (to cast a shadow) above the clock, this would look SO COOL.
I'm fed up with bedroom clocks being 7-segment displays ... but I'd definitely consider buying this one if it was for sale
It would be amazing if the numbers lit up!
It should have leds inside to light up the hour, so it's more readable.
Supercool!!🤩
Needs lighting effects
i want it
This would sell tons
Where can you buy this?
Take My Money!
So simple! It's obvious!
Lovely. One criticism: must be sort of loud in the night... ;)

This is BEAUTIFUL

Damn.....it's so COOL
Krass geil 🤩
Do a kickstarter for this clock so we can all buy one!
Can’t you do one?
Sounds noisy and annoying tbh
Mmmmm, how about no?
Need metal version manufactured by zero tolerance lathe. Will look awesome
Fandabidozi. Well done.
I need one of these in my life
Очень круто!!!

Wow! What a nice idea!

I hope there is a led in there cause it going to be hard to tell time at night. Looks super cool
Well unlike a digital clock, you'd be able with a bit of practice to tell the time by feel without needing a light at all.
That’s pretty cool! Very creative idea! Thank you 🙏
problem is that it has many moving parts and makes a sound every minute. This is not something I would want in a bedroom or any place where I can hear it
You’d probably get used to it like a ticking clock or you could move it out of the bedroom

A normal clock makes a sound every second

In the first minute or so I was 99% convinced this was an AI video
