I’m looking forward to modifying my trailer now! BTW what’s the weight of your trailer and what is the tow vehicle? I didn’t really need a toy hauler but that was the best used trailer I could find at the time. My suburban really really grunts and groans pulling it.

Does anyone know if this kind of conversion requires a permit and plumbing? Everything I read assumes it’s going to be a rental unit but I only want a bedroom for family.

What thickness of Insulation did you use? Or if you remember the R value and are you happy with it? Stays cool holds heat etc. I am currently building mine and i'm trying to decide on insulation. And I can't decide what to use. Hahahaha. Awesome build

I’d definitely be putting a curtain between y’all’s bed and the kids beds. My wife and I need a little bit of privacy.

I’d like to convert a cargo trailer into a camping trailer, but our (my) truck is a 23 Tacoma TRD Off Road, double cab with a 6’ bed, so I’m limited on the weight limit for towing, (6,500#). I don’t want to tear up my pickup, because at my age my truck needs to last until I die. After my death I’m quite sure that my wife will still be using it to plow our private road of the 5-7 ft of snow we get every winter. Thankfully I drive less than 10K miles per year.

Great job dude! i really been searching for toy hauler but the garage space is never big enough unless spend $60k+...My biggest concern is i have literally 0 experience building anything,I know im capable but, aestethics are big deal to me and i don't want it looking like someone with 0 experience building, built it 😆 so im just going to not rush, I don't care how long it takes. you could trailer a nice bass boat inside this thing and be able to haul your boat and camper with one tow vehicle to the lake. Great build!
