Is the wire from the brake wire coming from underneath the back of the board I just fix mine it was touching yellow and blue was touching now no more noise coming out from the front wheel

Had the same problem. I found that I damaged cables during wheel tube removal/assembly. There was damage in one of the white socket connection cables nearly the end of the black isolation tube.

Check your motor connectors make sure they aren't melting

I've had the same problem with a few of my customers. It's the motor needs replacement. This happened for braking on a descending street or/whit excessive speed or height. If you live up hill don't charge your ninebot over 90-95% the battery capacity. Use mainly the back brake. If the battery is fully charged and the brake is engaged on a steep hill there is no where for that regenerated energy to go. Therefore the engine suffers. Hope it helps.

Literally just now this happened to me... I have had mine a little over a year now and have almost 340 miles on it and about 135 with it being flashed for speed and throttle algorithm changed to power instead of speed control no loss of range under normal circumstances.. On flat bike path I had to brake from 22mph somebody stopped in front of me. And soon as I hit the brake it sounded like I was going down a ladder.. and buzzed/vibration the 8 miles home. I was waiting for something to catch fire or something. But didn't seem to use any more power than normal.

It's a failure caused by using the regenerative braking while going down hill at high speed. You are supposed to use the rear friction brake with the thumb brake though you can still fry the system if you are going too fast down hill and use both. It overheats the regenerative braking system controls in the main controller and can also fry the motor. Regenerative brakes work by spinning an electric motor backwards. Reversing the motor creates electricity and it is captured and stored back in the system / battery. If you are going too fast and down a hill and use the thumb brake you send too big of a load back into the circuits which overloads the system and basically cooks it. Replace the controller and it should be good. Hope this helps

before you buy ninebot you have to be aware consider that they don't provide any guarantee or help or parts you are going to struggle Bigtime to find the parts.

If only you have this motor sound with normal speed it will be probably the best e scooter!!!

I’ve just encountered the same issue. When breaking its really clunky now - lots of vibration. What is the fix? Is it control board or a wire or a motor issue?

I was riding mine and going about 17 miles an hour when the front wheel hub just locked up.

Hey, Genki, did you manage to fix this? UPDATE: It’s the control board, mine was replaced by Ninebot Romania for 85$ + tax for the new control board and 35$ + tax for labour. Plus, I got 6 months warranty for the repair.

Be aware DONT BUY ANYTHING FOR (GEAERBEST.COM) THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND WONT HELP YOU AT ALLLLLLLL

its so disappointing that GearBest they are not doing anything I personally had the same issue I did contacted Segway to compline about it, they couldn't provide me with any further information, so be carful everyone, I believe that the new version of Segway big technical issue, my personal advice don't buy it form Gearbest and don't buy the new version Ninebot Segway ES2, you will waist £550 what a shame !

Oh thank god I was about to buy it from gearbest, they have some good promising on regarding warranty and customer service, but I can see that is alllll fake promising, thanks anyway, no ninebote anymore im going for the carbon fibre,

I believe that gearbest they are not doing there best anyway I also was hearing some problem with people who's purchasing from GearBest, that they don't get back to you and many other bought the Ninebote v1.3 with problem so, make sure you don't buy from them, and my personal advice open a dispute via PayPal thats the best solution.

It's caused by a wire of the motor (one of the 3 black round plugs) , not the hall sensor. Theses wires move with the fork movement.

yes I did experience this problem bought my ES2 after 4 week my Es2 has got louder sound then yours and when I brake you can hear crazy sound after that same day in the night I motor stop working, I tried to contact ninebot segway they didn't help me at all they are saying you did bought it from us so I contacted gear best they have also been ignoring me email, so yes its a shit company and a shit scooter, it is strong but it doesn't least with you long my advice DO NOT BUY IT seriously guy I can send you videos to prove that, even though I was trying to buy motor hub you can't find the new version, so yes your going to get F**** by them, trust me every one the scooter is shit I had the carbon fibre and I swear I was going with that scooter every where water driving it like crazy and I was so surprise how strong it was, the only reason I sold that one and bought the Ninebot cuz I thought faster and stronger, it is faster but definitely not strong.

I just had the same issue. Do I have to contact gearbest the seller or Segway to help me? It is very frustrating because I have it since only less than two weeks. Is there anyone who found a solution for this?
