Good rig. Sugg: I would raise the faces of your sled and like someone else said, weld some strips on the face and grind them sharp to keep wood from popping up. Don't pay any attention to the safety Nazis, they are on every forum. More people die falling down their front steps than do from splitting wood.
that's a sweet rig man.. love the way the sled slides so smooth.. I bet I could heat a house or two with that setup.. great job..nice work and all that stuff
Just wondering, does your fluid get real hot? I'm running a 28GPM pump as well but my tank is over 3 times bigger. VERY nice design and it sure keep 2 guys moving at capacity, well done! Here's mine: imageevent.com/kevininohio/woodsplitter Your return stroke should be quicker as you have the rod's diameter in there to cut the space/volume down.
You still alive?
and the pick-up never fills up, disappearing wood
She's a two stroke !
nice setup mate
That's a excellent job my man, i am in the prosses of building my own ..thanks for the ideas
No matter what method/machine is used to split wood its still back breaking work.
Nice
nice job! do you have a 4way wedge for it?
I would never touch that blade while that engine is on...
Excellent splitter, think i will copy that ;-) Love your mountainview, wish we had that here i flat Denmark :-D
how hard would it be to make a slip on 4 way wedge?

Ye cannae beat Kraut, Bratwurst and Smoked Piggy.

genius.
Did you make all the moving parts to this splitter?
Impressed.....Nothing beats simplicity
Very Nice
Very innovative design. No wasted motion. Now all you need to add are side tables on the sled. Take care. Doug
this is not OSHA approved lol
Definitely one of a kind, thinking outside the box here. It gets the job done thats what counts. Way faster than a typical splitter.
Nicely designed and fast but dangerous like hell....hands are dangerously passing where they should not....
very clever design, with 2 people you can really run through some wood.

I've seen ones like this where the knife goes back and forth, but the pusher cradle loos pretty slick. Nice splitter!
This is a nice splitter but I'm going to build a big one
What kinda moonshine do ya feed yer camera?
Good lad ewd lad good splitter
Very cool
yes
Hi Ric..U R GENIUS MAN.
awesome best idea iv'e seen
not being very mechanical i always am impressed by people that can make things like this.
Sweet !!!!!!!
OK, you done made me hungry!
You should draw plans and sell them, I would love to have a set
Ingenious. I would put some weld bead on the face of your pusher plates to keep the wood from popping up.
if you had a foot pedal you could operate that and still use both hands
That is neat. Where did you get the white thing that you ran the corn through? Love it! Nice video!
That's efficiency right there. Two great motivators, starvation and winter.
Brilliant machine, very simple doing this work and quick i love this gadget.
Great idea, nice log splitter
I love the vice grip throttle fix. Haha.
