Michelin Pilot Street 2 was ok for me, I was able to lean the bike to an extent without losing confidence. It's not a corner friendly tyre, but it is manageable if the rider knows the limits. Apollo Actizip F5 is an option for 100/80. Is there a reason why you're upsizing just front and keeping stock size for rear.?

I have an ns 160 bs4 so I’m upsizing both rear and front ones by 10 more width because there are little to no options or availability of this 120-80 or 90/90 and for some reason 120-80 alpha s1 is costlier than 130/70 s1 , some I’m kinda confused 😅 I need front one’s that can compliment the rear alpha s1 and about actizip f5 its good but the thread pattern in terms of design looks bit odd for my liking but thanks for the reply !appreciated✌️

​@@mannug8568 i could suggest u the tvs protorq extreme steel radials for rear 120/80-17 these will fit the bill without needing an 130 upgrade. These would be better than alpha s1 of the same size. Thse are available in eurogrip ifficial website. For the fronts there are no available good alternatives in 90/90-17 size

Yeah, bro. Radials are perfect for these bikes. If there was any other option from Eurogrip for the front apart from Remora, I would have chosen that and Protorq Extreme for the rear. As you said, hopefully, they will launch a matching model for the front. And thanks for sharing your experience on Trampler. I had no idea that block pattern tyres make it more bumpy on uneven roads.

They were good enough. The front tyre had uneven wearing, so had to change both together around 16k kms.

On Mysore - Madikeri, there are chances of police checking. Once you enter Kushalnagar - Somwarpet route, there won't usually be there.

Try changing the engine oil to Motul, Castrol or Shell.

Yeah, I surfed online. These fall under dual purpose tyre, 70% road, and 30% off-road. I'm planning to stay with sports touring tyre. Reise Tracer, Maxxix Extramaxx, Eurogrip Protorq Extreme, and Alpha S1 are the options I'm considering as these tyres give good grip (dry & wet) on tarmac than dual purpose tyres.

I don't see any significant difference with the mileage, I get the same average of 43-46. The sound of the engine has slightly reduced, making the exhaust sound prominent. I can also feel that the top end refinement has slightly increased.

Yup. Alpha H1 is only available from 150 section, I believe. Alpha S1 is an option. I've decided to try Eurogrip Protorq Extreme for the rear. I'm still figuring out the front tyre that can match with the Eurogrip.

If the pickup has reduced slightly, get the engine oil, air filter, and spark plug replaced. Also, check the throttle and clutch play. If it's reduced significantly, get the clutch plates checked.

Yes, that's common and normal while deceleration. It's a process where the leftover fuel in the exhaust system gets burnt.

Hello, RTR 200 BS6 is a good option. The difference you may feel is with the power figures. BS6 engines are underpowered compared to BS3. This is the case with all brands, not just TVS. The refinement and fuel efficiency are better in BS6 engines. The low/mid end resembles BS4, but the top end feels lacking. It won't make any major difference if you're ok with the speeds between 90-110 while touring.

@@MMT31 hmm i am from Nepal and we dont have the roads to travel to speeds at 100 as the road conditions are not so good. So as i am satisfied with the riding and performance of apache, Bs6 version can be a good choice ? And is the punch and trill in the mid ranges same as the older versions bs4 and bs3 ?

It's not exactly the same as BS3 or BS4, but almost there. There's a slight dip. It would be better to take a call after a test ride and experience the difference in real.

My height is almost 5'8 and I have not had any problems as such in long distance. I've seen people who are taller managing long rides on RTR. 5'10 should be manageable, I believe, but it is better to take a test ride and take a call.
