Nice job, another fix for that bonnet (hood), is to simply pull the connector and install a wire inside the switch to bypass the warning light. Works like a charm.

Video was helpful will try this solution just happened to me also had the battery replaced about 10 days ago and they didn't put the trim under the front glass back properly. It's been raining like crazy and 95 degrees for a week was thinking it was the heat but hopefully it's the sensor out of line Thanks

Mr Hill. Kudos to you Sir. Problem solved. I found the OEM sensor and paid $60 US, installed and that pesky bothersome red triangle on the dashboard is finally gone. Again, thank you for sharing!

I recently got the Tandorio black dial . Do not buy the black dial with those tiny hands. Most of the time due to the hands and reflection off the black dial i cannot read the time. I have a watch that i cant use to tell the time.

Good review...Main difference between the IX&DAO and Tandario is the date complication on the IX&DAO. I prefer the PT5000 movement on the pearl white dial on the Tandorio - superb 😊.

Black handset on the Tandorio is a no-go for me. I have the Ipose and it's a fantastic watch. I wear it over some much more expensive ones.

The Tandoorio looks cheap and nasty compared to the IXDAO, that handset is garbage. The mesh strap and the novel way it attaches to the case is one of the main selling points!

If you want cheap then tandorio is the way to go but then again i prefer the movement in the cheap tandorio , obviously the other one has a choice of movements which i dont understand at all because if you go for the swiss movement your then paying about the same for the original watch lol i thought homages was cheap version of a certain watch .. anyway i like the look of the tandorio maybe i like darker faces on my watches. Great review.

I agree with you that the cases were made in the same factory, but Ixdao asked them to finish the case to higher standards (transition between different finishing on the lugs), or Ixdao ordered the cases and refinished them themselves.

The hands alone make the Ipose worth it.

Based on the pictures and videos online the transition from the brushed to polished sides of the lugs is what gives it away. The IX&DAO's transition is much more sharper while the Tandorio is not as sharp. Also the Mesh strap is offered on the IX&DAO

Easy giveaway, the IX&DAO is ONLY offered with the mesh bracelet.

Hey man, nice that you share your experience with others on This platform! Instant tell is the transition between the different finishing on the lugs. The ixdao finishing clearly is much crisper. Also I can confirm your first reaction to the ar coating, it is very big different in quality between the two despite the effect of the black dial, you can see that everything beneath the cheaper crystal is much foggier looking, its because the ar coating not only blocks glaring reflections, but also helps the crystal pass throught light, hence making the dial clearer. End note: the cheaper one is nice and better value for an everyday person, but for a watch entusiast it is worth to go for the ixdao. Enjoy your watches! 😊

Good job you did, and thank you for sharing . I have 2004 (2002-2004) HSE and the sensor in the opposite direction. Also I see a video for 2005 it is in the same your location.

I drive a 2012 and have been getting the "hood open" warning on and off for the past few weeks. After double checking it was latched, I figure the sensor was just going out. After your video, I pulled up on the bracket which raised the button a few millimeters. Saved me time and money. Big thanks!

Thanks for a great video, so I finally looked in the right place and found the sensor which has now been adjusted and given the old WD40 treatment - fingers crossed. Although the battery is on the other side, I located the sensor in more or less the same position as in your video despite being a subscriber to driving on the 'correct' side of the road ;-) Thanks again.
