Servicing my Peugeot 306 for the first time, how did it go?
If a 90s Rover doesn't have panel gaps - you know it's been in an accident and repaired (to a higher quality than it was built to) A very... enlightening video. ;)
Very true! 😂
Thanks for your plat lol
Plate
Awwww.... it's not that bad is it? :O
Very Rover - moving, but in mysterious ways. Maybe you should call it Peter? 'cos it's a Mysterious Car
У меня такая с левым рулём с мотором 3s-ge , отличная удобная машина пробег уже 545.000 km был один ремонт мотора . респект из Сибири!
Neither probably😅
Жаль что вы не видели калдину, она тоже праворульная, вот там полный фарш

how did you remove the wiper blade from the wiper arm itself? is it just held on by clips or something else
Leave damp traps in the car!
Great update. :)

Thanks for this, just went to do mine to find it had been taken out at some point and never put back in. 3 years of no filter haha
Nice vid cheers. I’m about to do mine as a slight grind in 2nd, feels dry. Next test drive you do get up to 40-50ish and coast for a while in neutral. If the noise disappears then it’s unlikely to be your gearbox at all. 🤜🏻🤛🏻
2024 year of the Streetwise #yots24 🧙♂️
Don’t know what your on about I have had 3 of these and all the saloon version, and they are fantastic
Just not my cuppa tea. Found the tech overwhelming and rather unnecessary. Having said that, it was very comfortable and drove excellently
@ agreed there is a lot of technology that seems unnecessary, after a few months you find you use most of it though.
Air filter or erupted vacuum pipe
You have an issue with your stepper motor. Its fluctuating. Can sometimes be ok if removed and cleaned with carb cleaner. Either that or throttle body needs a good clean. Common with the Rover engine back in the day
Sensor? (Er, not sure what it's called... the one in the air intake) Or plugs need a clean? In yee olde days a blast of brake cleaner down the carb would have sorted that out....
Can't wait for the next video. Great to see the streetwise up and running and hear your commentary (not drowned out by the roar of the exhaust 😉🤣)

Gonna watch the other videos soon 👍
Our boss had a brand new one back in the day and most workers laughed and thought it was a bit of an embarrassment!😅 Now after all these years I'd love one myself, Rover with no money left where ahead of the game. The urban crossovers are everywhere now Dacia Stepway ,Fiesta Active, Aygo X , Polo Dune , Mokka , 500 X , Nissan Duke the list goes on 😂
Cars are so much more to buy, tax and insure in Ireland, compared to the UK. Are you from Liverpool? Now living in Ireland with a slight Dublin accent?
Oh, so you have the brake warmer feature? Cool 😂
Just like an F1 car!
I have just hired one of these. The most irritating car I have driven. It’s also uncomfortable and you can’t see kerbs, or out the back. Make sure you take avery long test drive before you buy one. I’m a big Mercedes fan but this is dreadful
Awesome.... great little job, hopefully not too many choice words with that clip.
Thank you. Lovely car and Lovely and helpful video
Thanks! Glad the video was of use
I will like to buy a Carina E from Ireland
That car still has life, gave it a second chance to be on the road again.
Ah what?
2.0 carina e, '97. It was regularly backfiring when I bought it, replaced plugs&cables yet it turned out to be oil leaking into the distributor. Replaced it & now drives great, hassle-free . Its quite a peppy engine, specifically when using the overdrive :). Fully agree with you, seats are absolutely great for my sore back!
It is crap, but very lovely.
I love my old Carina2, I never found a love for the Carina e tho. I rate my 1990 carina higher than my 2006 Honda Accord s too…
Nice car in its day
What happened?! Building works near you throwing up dust? Or farmers?
(Check oil level too.... :) ) VERY useful advice for any Rovers... :)
I love seeing things like this and wondering what they were... and the history of why if came to be left there... Maybe "Broke down" and then forgotten about... or dumped by someone and as it was out of the way no-one chassed up on removing it.
This is exactly the problem mine has currently on both sills. I'm looking at £2,000 as I need complete new entire sills and for new holes to be drilled and then welded onto the chassis.
Ouch! I ended up selling that 600 to a friend who could weld. He then discovered a hole in the bulkhead and scrapped it 😢 hope yours doesn’t suffer the same fate
Didn't realise you had Fred Astaire tap dancing in your engine bay. ;) Could be worse, the tapping noise could be coming from the bottom of the engine. :O
You’ve made a great car of it 👏
I was there that day. That's me with my motorbike helmet in hand around 19:10. I move to the US the next year - that's a crazy blast from the past - thanks for uploading!
My pleasure. Amazing you found yourself in it!
Awesome Mighty Streetwise. :)
Just bought a Mk2 2004 Clio 182 for 2 grand. Couple of body bits needing done and wheels are needing changed but what a fun thing to drive! Bang for buck the old Clio's are great!
Ah, in chod we trust.
🧙♂️
What's the modern?
Volvo C30!
@@CrapCarCollective Ace choice. Will we see a video on it?
Is one car a fleet 😂
It is a lot less stress tho!
