    Thanks for posting. I played this game back in the day. We liked it a lot. It’s one of those games where you always think you’re a chance, even in a not so good game. I believe this was the first drop target in pinball, ….but I’m not sure. I would say that this game, Teacher’s Pet and Moulin Rouge were my favourite Williams games from the 60s. Wonderful pinball game - good for any game room.

      @markjackson1444 it's become a favorite of those in my lineup. The big points are the drop so I try to hit the drop then reset it. If you don't light the pops, it's tough to get a decent score. Thanks for watching @markjackson1444!

      Hey, I've been all over with work, but I should have some time during the week when we can work live together in messenger or facetime. Usually all components work together in a game so if it hasn't been cleaned or serviced in years, then chances are a good cleaning of switches and steppers is a good place to start. But there really isn't a pick and choose method when it comes to that. Many times you don't even have to know what switches or steppers do, as long as they're clean and making contact, moving freely and wires attached, most problems get solved. Once that is done, or if it has been recently already, we can look deeper into the issue. I will email you during the week and check when you're available to go live.

      @@pin-monkeypinball3548 Can't wait, I dove in at the deep end a year or so ago with several basket cases (and the number keeps growing). I've managed to get them all running with info from various web sites, trial & error plus a lot of luck and logic, it will be very interesting to learn exactly what I did to achieve the results I've had. 😃

      I'll look forward to it. I jumped in at the deep end a year or so ago with a couple of 'sad' machines (the number has grown since). I have managed to get them up and running using info from various sources, books, on line sites, logic and luck. It will be interesting to learn what I actually did to achieve success..

      Good job! You can do it. I have a few (20+) and some EM games as well. I was having a friend of mine go through them when I found them but that got expensive so I figured I should probably learn something. Been doing my own ever since, but as anyone, I ask and try to be resourceful. Thanks again!

      @@pin-monkeypinball3548 Seeing the stepper unit at around the 30 min mark enabled me to correctly rearrange parts that had been put on bass-ackward (plus a missing spring) on an Advance Unit, so you've helped to bring an ailing' "Triple Action" back to life. Many thanks! Now I'll invest in new playfield bits from PBR and replace the missing back glass.

    Soldering equivalent of booger welds lol. Id bet it was the ol' "used a butter knife and a propane torch" to solder it.

    • @pin-monkeypinball3548
      @pin-monkeypinball3548 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's ok to NOT know how to solder, but if you know you're horrible at it, not a great idea to do anything on the bottom of the playfield that is going to pour onto the motor board below. Weeks spent tracing new problems to hidden solder splatter. Thanks for watching!

      Thank you. This is like a relationship, most of the time you're first attracted to someone/something with your eyes. Then when you start getting into it, you can tell if you like them/it enough to keep paying attention to it. Some people don't care about the cosmetics and say "well, you don't play the cabinet". Yes but if you keep up on it, you'll want to keep playing it because it looks nice. BTW, look up the song Pinball Prison. I like this version better. Thanks for watching! Keep following the adventures to see how it turned out.

    My Black Jack keeps playing Twilight Zone music and won't play. Could the coins be jammed in the machine causing this? If so, how do I remove them to get the machine working again. I can't seem to find anyone that works on these machines in my area of MA. Thanks!

    • @pin-monkeypinball3548
      @pin-monkeypinball3548 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm sorry for the late reply. I just saw this. Usually it will play that tune if the hopper runs real low on tokens. This usually happens after the Jackpot modes. The game needs to keep a few hundred tokens in it. There is a small key on the control box inside near the power switch. I believe you turn the key to reset the game with the power on, then turn the key back and turn the game off then back on again. I sold this game the day after I posted the video so I don't have the owners manual anymore but I can look it up if need be. Hopefully this helps or you got it fixed before I got back to you. Thanks for watching!

    Any idea why my Cleopatra chimes are only working when I start a game or add credits? It’s the SS version.

    • @pin-monkeypinball3548
      @pin-monkeypinball3548 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is a Gottlieb System 1 (Their first attempt at solid state games as they were reluctant to break away from their popularity in EM games) So, the sounds in these are driven by the solenoid driver board. We know that the chimes are working when starting or adding credits, that tells us that the drivers are working. I would start by turning off the game and opening the backbox. You will see 3 sets of 8 dip switches in a row (total 24 switches). On switch 20, it will be on the last of the 3 sets and marked with a 4. Sorry, I'm trying to word this without being confusing. That switch should be on. This is the "chimes on with scoring" setting. Once you turn that on, turn the game on and try it. It's best to not flip any of those switches with the game on. If you still have problems, feel free to email me at pinmonkeyinfo@gmail.com and we can work through it. Thanks for watching!

    i have a 1967 Wlliams Touchdown pinball machine and i bought my rubber rings from Marco Pinball. Do i have to unscrew all the plastic tops in order to replace the rings? The rubber rings, I don't think, have ever been changed...one of them has already been broken off.

    • @pin-monkeypinball3548
      @pin-monkeypinball3548 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, unfortunately on most objects you will have to unscrew everything except for a rubber here and there. It's OK. It's an opportunity to clean and inspect everything, clean switches that come through the playfield and replace bulbs. Clean up the plastics. While you're at it, replace the ball as well. It seems like a pain and sometimes it's scary the first time or 2 but you'll gain confidence. The reward is worth it. Even if you've had the game for years, it'll look and feel like a new game again. Feel free to email if you have questions. Pinmonkeyinfo@gmail.com. Thanks for watching.
