Hi! Had the cables replaced by a workshop (came in with a complete new engine btw..😂) and now the shifting is a bit “off” - I get 3rd gear instead of 5th, 2nd instead of 4th etc. Feels like the gear selector is a bit too much to the left or whatever. Do you think that’s what I can adjust with the orange clip? Would be great cause this really sucks 😂

Good easy mod, but how will you blank off the old one, assuming you don’t decide to start using the steering lock after 30 years 😂 I never give it a thought either tbh. I’m not a fan of the side mounted barrels really, always worried the key will fall out, but that’s the dangers of old bikes, new barrel should be ok for a few years anyway.

Where is a safe place to jack specifically a 535? No frame rails and a raised seam down the centre of the engine... does the whole bike rest on the thin engine casings? Theres no flat area underneath at all on a 535. The safest place seems to be up by the coil housing under the petrol tank but needs long rods to bolt into he frame and down to the jack....

So do they have any wear indication?? No squeak plates, no electric sensor...?

No WD40 on the brake adjuster ? The handbrake cable looks too short it needs adjusting. Why not put new bearings in the new brake drums ? They don't cost much, and it won't last long like that. You can buy drums with bearings fitted TRW. Put grease on back plate where the shoes rub against for non binding operation.

I've done all the above but still can't remove ball joint.

No mention of the fuel filter sensor? I could see it on the bottom of the filter but where was the other end connected to.? There was two electric wires connected to the top but you didn't say what They were?

Hello, I have an Opel Mokka from 2013 in 1.7L CDTI 4X4. I am in France 🙂 I incurred numerous costs for the same problem as you : dual-mass flywheel, clutch, 4 injectors which were out of service, 4 glow plugs, descaling of the engine, duration of the turbo, cleaning of the EGR valve, replacement of the 2 durations of coolant and battery replacement. All this for a total of €3,200!!! When I changed the battery my problem was resolved for about 3 weeks but it came back. I bought the Bosch S5A08 70A/h - 760A. Do you think the problem could be the quality of the battery? I can't get enough of this car! All these problems came after only 1 and a half months of use, no guarantee possible from the seller. Thank you for your feedback

Thanks for the video. I just now got my 1987 virago to fire up and run since I got it a month ago. This bike hasn't run in over 2 years. Some of the wiring harness was missing and the valves were adjusted incorrectly and after watching your video today,I realized that the coils were connected wrong. After watching your video, I connected the wires like you did,and it fired up and ran. Yippee. Mike,from Georgia USA
