Cheers @darrenboston342, I'm always open to comments like this, there are some vehicles like this one that didn't have great sills and I defiantly didn't want to make them any worse so that's why I choose not to lift it up, A lot of the vehicles I do are to big for the lift and I just got in the routine of doing them on the floor and if the car is having a wheels off detail then I would lift it 👍

@@cornwallcarcare8959 so your saying they don’t have great sills🤔….. are they rotten then🤔😳 Put pads under the jacking point & just raise….. I don’t see a problem!🤔 I would never struggle this way…. Ever! Working at eye line is so much more productive, your looking at what your doing!… it a no brainer! Each to their own bud but you’re making your life harder & the job!! Don’t really see or understand why you’re not using the ramp to its full potential to make your life easier!🤔🙄

@@darrenboston342 when anyone is running a business with extremely tight time constraints, they don’t want to add the potential of any extra issues that can cost time and money both for them and for the customer, and which could stop the job altogether, and have the knock on effect of delaying the next few jobs. Not to mention one’s reputation, a needless bad customer experience or bad review can really affect a business and its operator. It’s simply impossible to say that nothing could go wrong on a 21 year old Japanese car with bad sills, so why take the risk? The ramp gets used plenty times but Jody has decided not to use it on this occasion, and for good reason, that’s good risk assessment in my book. If it’s your own car, or you think nothing can go wrong, you crack on and lift the car each and every time. Me, I wouldn’t lift that one either. Treat each job on their own merit.

There not real detailers if they dont do the roof 🤣🤣🤣 @conradhaigh2500, I do have a apron but I dont like leaning on the vehicles just in case anything happens ( no point in taking risks like that ) 👍

Check out 15:48 ( I do them by hand and fingers with a compound and a finishing polish ) as for the dust at 17:28 I speak about the dust and its inevitable on some paint types but the blue Rupes pad is not the best pad if you dont want dust ( I much prefer a microfiber cutting pad ) 👍

Thank you @user-zb2zp8ny3u the 4000 is ok but I prefer GYEON Compound + for cutting and the 2nd stage was GYEON Polish. Rupes LHR15, Rupes Ibrid, Autobrite DAS-3, hope this helps 👍

thanks for your answer. I was looking for a one step polish on a flat black car too, I used on a soft paint the 4000 and it was ok. I've not yet tried the gyeon, How much differerence the compound plus vs cartec 4000?

@@3racingski Gyeon compound + has more bite and will marr the paint a lot more but if you are refining after its fine but not for a single stage polish 👍

@dorianherbulot7640I would have to agree that it dusts quite a lot but the paint type can also affect dusting as well 👍
