OXALIC ACID DIRECTIONS:
1. Mix the Solution: In a crock pot, add 3/4 distilled water (in the video you saw me use hose water, I live on top of a mountain with 99% naturally clean water) mix 2 tbs of oxalic acid with water. Make sure to add the water 1st. This can also be done w/ a bucket, ratio is 1 gallon of water: 2 tablespoons Oxalic Acid. Leave outside for 2 days in the sun.
2. Submerge the rocks and allow them to soak in the solution for 4 hours on high if using a crock pot.
3. Remove arrowheads from acid. But before placing into water, bring them to room temperature so they will not fracture and place, using tongs or rubber gloves, into a bucket of distilled water and baking soda. The baking soda is optional, and you will yield the same results. Leave in water for at least 1 minute. If your water is not distilled, it will turn things orange.
3. Remove from water/baking soda bucket and allow to dry. This is also the best time to scrub off any residue if you see any. I usually do a one over lightly with a tooth brush.
4. Neutralize the leftover oxalic (and muriatic) acid solutions with baking soda before disposing of it according to local regulations. do not dump inside, find a place outside. Think: Pavement (sidewalk, driveway, road), dirt patch, leaf pile, weeds, etc.
