The reason you can’t fight porky:this is because you will kill him easily and your level is higher than 1 so it makes it easier and secondly you fight ness and Paula instead of porky due to genocide route, you can’t fight porky so that means your forced to do pacifist or neutral to fight porky

I think people didn't understand the real meaning of UnderfellGG's Sans. From what I understand in this AU, it takes place in a universe where the files were altered, generating a change throughout the world, where an anomaly existed in this world and corrupted characters like Toriel or Papyrus. In other words, if Sans was corrupted, that means he was never truly evil, and even if he was, it was clear he was meant to be a broken character. He only realized that he did everything wrong after disappointing everyone, getting rid of this anomaly that corrupted him. Sans was never a complete villain with no chance of redemption, he was a broken antagonist who was corrupted by a force much greater than himself. So Darth Vader and Arthur Morgan can have their redemption in peace, but Sans, who was never even evil, can't? Why? cuz he killed children? All the previous characters also killed, and even though they weren't the best people, they were entitled to redemption. Why don't Undertale fans stop and think about this for a second?

Something that really sticks out to me is how overboard Sans goes here compared to Undertale Sans. Especially thet last attack. Undertale Sans takes a lot of care to keep his attacks simple to try to win a battle of attrition. Fell Sans? Due to both not dying in one hit and also just having a grudge against you, he goes overboard and accidentally makes his fight easier. The biggest example is his final attack. The Gaster Blaster Ring has more sure, but they're so close together that it's actually EASIER to avoid than the one in Undertale

Contrary to popular opinion, I honestly prefer the Pacifist update over the old Sleep Mist one. A big issue I had with GG!Underfell Sans is that it didn't even feel like Sans. Obviously an AU would change a lot of things about the characters, but at least Papyrus still felt like Papyrus, while the original GG!Underfell Sans here just seemed like an edgy OC in a Sans body. I mean, he doesn't even say a single pun. If you just took the dialogue alone you would not be able to tell it was Sans. At least with this, there shows some connection to Sans's character through his morals. You can see he still really cares for his brother as well. Besides, a big part of this version of Underfell is that all of the monsters are still their original selves deep down, just that they turned hostile from the environment, so it makes sense that Sans wouldn't be an exception to this rule. Papyrus even said he wasn't always like this. People have wanted Underfell Sans to be an irredeemable psychopath but monster SOULs are innately made of love and compassion in Undertale lore, so this is just a way to fit the canon a bit more. He still has "love" and "compassion", he just buried it deep down and masked it through killing others. I still have a few issues, like I don't think it was necessary to change that he didn't actually kill an orphan, along with some pacing issues, but overall I think the concept a lot better for the story. Though, it is just my opinion. I wasn't really a big fan of the original Underfell because of how overly edgy it was either but that's just personal preference.

Genuinely only stopped myself from killing Sans because i want to try doing a pacifist route To be honest though, i REALLY wanted to kill him, couldn't even be brought to feel bad because of his backstory

I love this interpretation of sans. He tells you the most bonkers backstory ever, admits its horseradish made by his writing team, and then sprinkles in that bit of mystery that some of it MIGHT be true, just to fuck with you further. He knows, no matter what, that you'll be thinking about that story forever, even if it's just how weird and stupid it was. (honestly, it's a pretty fire sales pitch for the comic now that I think about it)

Every ending here apart from the pacifist one works. I get it was added to stop softlocks, but it ruins this sans’ character. He’s supposed to be the one irredeemable enemy, and making it so he didn’t even actually kill Suzy just feels like a cop-out and lessens the impact of the other endings. I do like the ending where Susie fucking slashes sans into a million pieces, would’ve hit harder if the orphan killing wasn’t proven false.

Seeing as I hadn't realized Flowey was here, seeing him pop up and watch Chara plunge into the Springs below was REALLY terrifying

Every undertale fun game pressures you to abort genocide This is the first one that pressures you into aborting pacifist I'd like to imagine that the best ending will be neutral in which you spare everybody expect the main bosses.

i like how basically every fan-made of undertale is better than the real undertale

Personally I don't mind this update. Sure some people may not like it but I personally was a little unsatisfied with simply sparing him by using Sleep Mist. I know it's possible that this Sans is beyond redemption but it wouldn't hurt to at least try. Having the option to finally talk to Sans was pretty nice too.
