I was on board with the video and agreed with most of your opinions until we got to the Shanty slander. I think the vibes of the island are absolutely amazing, as this festive, nostalgic respite from everything. Even as a Gobbleygourd hater, he doesn't detract from the entire song's vibe bc he's offset by so many other singers. I was initially annoyed with the ratio of vocalists to non-vocalists but after some time, the vocals just kinda become melodies like those of an instrumentist For what they had to work with, all of the monsters are balanced really well and they nailed the unique atmosphere of holidays
