No it does not make any difference. As far as i know, even if you study 4 years without finishing the degree and doing the practical year you will have to compete from scratch for positions in medical school and end up doing the language prep year or years. It is not impossible but super challenging. To earn a residency position after finishing med school from outside Germany is much easier.

You are correct that doctor's salaries in Europe, including Germany, are generally lower than in the US. However, as you mentioned, the German system is easier for IMGs when it comes to choosing a specialty. Learning German is definitely the most important step if you're considering this path. @@neurogeist Thank you doctor, and I hope you discuss the racism in Germany against foreigners in general and Arabs in specific because it is still one of my fears going to Germany with what I heard about German's attitude, is it really as bad as they say or one can cope with it (I know it is a sensitive topic but if you could give an idea I would appreciate it)

@@mih2862 no problem. No for PhD you do not need German. You might need it for daily life but you do not need it for the work itself. Most research is done in English anyway.

It depends where the you work. Those numbers in the video are for private practice; once the specialists opens their own center or clinic. Usually when working in a hospital as an employee salaries are lower and in the range of 80-100k net income.
