Nutz used to play regularly at Clarence's night club in Halifax, I had some great nights in the 1970's watching them perform. Nutz were one of the best seventies bands that the UK ever produced, they deserved far more credit than they ever got.

To me it's very much a mystery why bands like Nutz, Dirty Tricks, Quartz, Paris, Legs Diamond, Angel, Starz, Moxy, Riot, American Tears, The Babys, A Foot In Cold Water, Head East, Black Sheep, weren't much bigger than they were! Nutz for me is one of the best things the UK produced in the 70s

I saw them a few times back in the day at London's Marquee Club. The guitar player reminded me of Blackmore. It's nice to hear rock with such melody.

Saw Nutz in the Marquee club in Wardour St, London in around 1975 with Paul Dianno and Steve Loopy Newhouse ( Clive Burr's drum technician. Both of Iron maiden ) Loved them from the get go. Still listen to Nutz now

Good stuff. Saw them supporting Sabbath at the Hammersmith Odeon - 1977 Technical Ecstasy tour. Really strong. A year later Van Halen were in the same spot. I heard it cost nuts 3 thousand quid to get on that tour . (Addled memory from 40 years ago note). Guessing VH paid about the same to support the Sabs a year later - and that after parachuting into the Stones gig at Knebworth for some bizarre reason... maybe I dreamed that though - can't possibly be real. Either way this guy is one hell of a guitar player. Wondering if he saw Eddie VH or if Eddie saw him. You can hear the Hendrix in both of them plus something special - perhaps these stylistic things just emerge simultaneously around the world though. Pretty sure if his solos had been on a single in 1977 we would have bought them - same as we did Eddie's. Before punk every show had them and we teens lived for them.
