pretty sure the crv does not have 300hp . The 2017 equinox is the last year for that body style . The 3.6 liter motor is dependable and powerful . These equinox's are the best year and so comfortable . They are cheap and just great . Do not get the 2.4 liter though i have had one for 9 years i love my car in general so much that i am about to score a 17 mint condition with my favorite wheels and the 3.6 liter with low mileage .

lol - you mean an GLS maybe? The LE is like 10 or 11 seconds 0-60. This thing is like 6 or 7. Take the limiter off and it wouldn't even be in the same universe... there's an extra gear in the chevy's transmission compared to a LE for example :)

You're tall so its hard for you to get in too Some people are just right for the car Maybe explore a reasonably priced suv?

yea it limits the speed to 115 mph for safety reasons, same with some bmws, only lets u go to 125 when the engine can go faster

@@calumwilson1120 I had. 2017 Dodge Journey v6 and it limits it to 117mph.

The 13 could’ve had a problem somewhere in the intake system if it was surging. I’ve never driven a 2.4 equinox but I’ve been in one and the motor seems a lot louder under normal driving than the 3.6 but you do get better MPG.

@@TheMW2informer they were both pretty quiet under normal driving but the 15 was optioned up a little so it probably had better sound insulation from the materials. They were both a bit loud under acceleration but im used to it. My 06 monte carlo has a small exhaust leak and my 15 challenger has a resonator delete. Plus the 04 ram I traded in on it had exhaust and engine noise.

timmypstyle I’m pretty used to it too, my 06 vibe had an exhaust leak last year and it was real loud, then I put an upgraded, louder exhaust on it to fix the leak. Btw I love the 06-07 Monte Carlo, definitely a car I wanna get.

@@TheMW2informer if you're going to get one, get the 3.9L V6 or the 5.3L SS. But just beware, the transmissions are the weak link. And also 06 is the only year they offered the 3.9L.

But I definitely like my monte. I had an 03 SS 3.8L and my current 06 3.9L LT. The 3.9L blows them doors off the 3.8L. I have a 3.9L in my 08 uplander cargo van and honestly I think it would have given the 03 SS a run for its money. My 06 monte runs a 0-60 of 7.0, my van has a slipping trans on takeoff so I never did a 0-60 but its rated at like 8.7 seconds, and my 03 SS was like 8.5 seconds. The 3.9L has way better acceleration at the top end tho. The 3.8L made better power at low and mid rpm range but had a slow top end. The 3.9L makes most of its power at mid and high rpm.

It’s an empty lot as of a month ago, it took them from April 2018 until last month (October 2020) to clear all the scrap. Now they are either going to keep the plant floor in and have someone use that to build on, or take out the plant floor and use the property and the JATCO lot just to the south as a light industry park with new roads and rail connections on the empty lot. If they do chose to remove the plant floor they would likely have to do more environmental remediation.

I don’t have any sort of tune or modification on this car, factory must have a more aggressive tune on it, maybe the transmission tune is more like a PPV impala, it shifts pretty snappy even when I’m not beating on it, or it’s possible it learned from me driving really hard and reprogrammed itself for that.

It should sound very similar. My 2014 Impala Limited sounds quite a bit like this Equinox does. Although I think the shifts occur at slightly lower speeds here as my Impala can get up to about 65-70 before it'll shift into 3 gear if you're punching on it. But being this is slightly newer, it might be programmed a bit more for fuel efficiency.

But I believe Impala top speed is 125 or 130 (with limiter); its pretty fast!

@@PokemonParadise2010 theyre all quick but only a LTZ goes up to 130 plus. But not on LT or LS. The 9c1 and 9c3 can top out at 150 mph no problem. It would be a good match for a dodge charger pursuit hemi or eco boost interceptor

@@greysonprince4827 I don't have a V6 challenger lol. And you'd need quite a few more go fast parts than just a turbo and tune to make an equinox hang with a muscle car. But judging by your comment "open the hood and take that shit out.." I'd assume you dont know anything about cars in the first place because tuners go through the diagnostic port under the dash and they reprogram the computer. Nothing gets taken out and you don't open the hood to do it. We aren't in the 80s anymore lol
