The story of Todd Christensen, the forgotten or nearly forgotten tight end He was a key pillar for the Raiders' conquest of the 1983 Super Bowl, but inexplicably, his name has faded over time. Perhaps it’s because his story doesn’t shine as brightly as Jim Plunkett's that year. Maybe it’s because he didn’t possess the fierce and charismatic aura of Howie Long. And perhaps, unlike Marcus Allen, ...

MarvHubbar what a Raiders legend a back you used his skills to win.RIP
Blanda, lamonica, warren wells, ...... so many greats atkinson, tatum......goes on and on...... football used to be a great game...... sad. I don't watch anymore.
Plunkett & Flores, two great Mexican American Raiders! Viva !😊
Tod was a great t.e he had a gym in my home town elk Grove CA it was called Tod zella
The cadet got what he asked for, cops are traitors, and the nfl is a pathetic joke today.
One of the.greatest Colts and Packers ever.
Wow didn't know the journey 🎉
Marv Hubbard One of The Toughest Fullbacks in Pro Football RIP........
One of the best tight ends. One of the smartest players. A true Raiders legend. He deserves to be on the Hall of Fame. The Raiders never would have made the Superbowl without his many 3rd down conversions thruout that season.
One of the best
No video of him playing?
no
RAIDER LEGEND.
Career 4.8 yards per carry which is outstanding. Very much under used as he only had one season with as many as 200 carries.
Fantastic player
Don’t forget Pete Banazak
What I loved about him?...take a look at his career yards per carry mark... One of the greatest ball carrying fullbacks ever... Watch these highlights closely..thats a hall of fame center...snapping the ball to the hall of fame qb...who gives the ball to the world class fullback...who follows the blocks of hall of fame left tackle, left guard and tight end...who are all members of NFL films greatest offensive line of all time...while both hall of fame wr's are blocking downfield... THE RAIDERS...PRO FOOTBALL'S MOST DYNAMIC ORGANIZATION... and on the sidelines?...two hall of farmers on defense...to go with the hall of fame backup qb/place kicker and hall of fame punter ..all being led by the hall of fame head coach...on the team owned by the hall of fame owner...scout...coach...head coach...and afl commissioner... ITS THE PRIDE AND POISE BOYS FROM OAKLAND CALIFORNIA... and the mother was a major cog in all of this... Can't you hear Bill King now? "...KENNY GIVES IT TO HUBBARD...UP THE GUT...TOUCHDOWN RAIDERS!!!..." Then...the 54k at the Coliseum...ERUPTS!... Gone...NEVER FORGOTTEN... cue...The Autumn Wind... those kettle drums at the beginning makes my hair stand up...
He looked like the actor Tim Matheson back then. But yeah, I remember him running over my Chiefs. Ouch!
Marv played a good basketball game also. When He but on a uniform he became an animal. The Mustang on Davis was a hard spot to get into if his band was playing
Two of the best Raider fullbacks were from, of all places, Colgate: Marv Hubbard and Mark Van Eghen.
Was born a Raider - even in college!
A GREAT FOOTBALL PLAYER THE BEST
The toughest back to bring down before the arrival of Earl Campbell. As much as anyone else, it was Marv Hubbard who made my then eleven-year-old self a Raiders fan. Those Raiders teams of the late 60s through the mid-80s were everything that was great about football and more!
Csonka & Riggins have entered the chat
I think that John Riggins might have something to say about that....
In the early 70s when both players were at their peak - Csonka was considered a small notch above Hubbard.
What about Jim Brown
@@edpinkerton7947and Jim brown
One of the Best,..a sad Ending,...though, not Forgotten!
I loved MH and your channel Is Fantastic !
PLAYING PIG SKIN IN THE STREET
Thank goodness he didn't end up a Bronco
HE WAS ALWAYS UNDER RATED OLE MOTHER HUBBARD
If other people were using it, then not being nominated is wrong.
Hang on. Monday Night Football didn't begin until 1970, so Cosell could not have said that about Lamonica on that broadcast. Lamonica or Stabler? Uh....Blanda? Plunkett?
He should be in the Hall of Fame!
Great player, great, husband, great father and community advocate. Dirty player no. He was intimidatingly aggressive and combative which is often confused with being dirty.
As a lifelong Raider fan it is a absolute crime that Lester Hayes is not in the HOF I hope they don’t do him the dirty way they did Clif Branch meaning they won’t put him in until he passes away SMH !!!!!!!
I am a Raider, since 1960 and now in 2024 and boy what a ride…..>😊
Should be in the HOF!!!
Yes one of the best raiders of all time 21:56
You bet he does
Yes he should be. Using sticum is the NFL's fault
The voice from universal occultism channel haha you know considering the facts should be in hall of fame.
When I was a kid, we’d play football in the side yard. When I was the receiver, I always pretended to be Warren Wells. I’d lineup wide and like #81, I’d fly down the sidelines. RIP Mr. Wells.
Yes he should be in the Hall of Fame as he was one of the best Defensive players that played in that era…. Hands down
I was watching live when they showed Otis with his head steaming 😮 I was 12yrs old loving sports
This is the ai that does the universal occultism channel haha
Would Otis make the Raiders team today...heck ya! Imagine him on the nose with Crosby on the end. A definite improvement!
Oakland is trash
I had the opportunity to watch Jim plunkett play and he was an inspiration in my life. Even though I never played football, it's just his determination to play and never quit winning. Two super bowls should have gotten them into the Hall of Fame regardless of stats You have several other quarterbacks that have Good stats but no super bowl rings. I can say without a doubt in my mind that race plays a lot in inducting them into the Hall of Fame. That is a tragedy, but his story is inspirational to the business of football into every young person that's playing Peewee football, high school, football and college football, and eventually professional football. Sincerely, Roger Martinez from waxahachie, Texas
Lester Hayes and Jim Plunket belong in HOF. Justice for the Judge.
.... as a child i was always amazed when he came out there when his team was down and he brought them back up to victory.
Got to meet him when I was in 7 th grade He was huge He was definitely a gentle giant
