    Good job on the animations in your video-- I can tell that you put a lot of work into making this & have a sincere interest in this gun/firearms. However, your description of "double-action mode" (starting about 1:33) is incorrect. Per your vid, "the trigger must be fully pressed once, and then pressed AGAIN, to fire". This is wrong-- it's just ONE (long), SINGLE pull to fire this gun double-action... there's NO cocking or 2nd pull in this mode. Here's a vid from Vickers tactical demonstrating this on the range with live ammo-- th-cam.com/video/UzdsfKmF508/w-d-xo.html (many other videos out there, and I own a number of WW2/post-war guns; none of them fire the way your video describes).

    • @niaaanfireani
      @niaaanfireani 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for your insightful feedback on my video about the Walther P-38. I appreciate your detailed explanation regarding the 'double-action mode' and realize there's a mistake in my description. As an animator, my primary focus is on creating engaging and informative content, but I am not a firearms expert. My knowledge is gathered from various internet sources, and I aim to present it as accurately as possible in my animations. After watching the Vickers Tactical video you recommended, I understand that the double-action mode involves a single, long pull of the trigger, rather than two separate actions as I described. This is a crucial correction, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to learn and improve. Your feedback is invaluable in helping me enhance the accuracy and quality of my animations. If you have the time and interest, I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on my other videos as well. Your expertise and insights would be incredibly helpful in ensuring the accuracy of my content. Why did they chose channel gasses right behind a bolt, instead of pushing a piston on a bolt carrier?

    • @niaaanfireani
      @niaaanfireani 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question! The M4's design using channel gases for the bolt carrier, rather than a direct piston push, is mainly for compactness and weight efficiency. This direct impingement system makes the rifle lighter and more streamlined, beneficial in combat scenarios. It also offers smoother recoil for better accuracy, though it does lead to more fouling in the receiver. Each design has its pros and cons, and the M4's reflects a balance of these factors. Also, I'd love to hear your thoughts on my other videos! Your feedback is valuable to me. Don't forget to subscribe to my channel for more insights and updates. Thanks for your interest!
