Fast forward 3 years to today, now that PSA is grading Stars, it is exploding! I'm glad I own both.

I have been putting together the 1948 set for a few years now. When the Sugar Ray pop 1 9MC came up I splurged and bought it it's crazy to think I own the highest graded card. It's print clarity is outstanding.

The 1993 Pacific Prisms set did not have parallel golds. The 1994 Pacific Prisms had a gold parallel for every card in the 94 set. The Emmitt Smith gold parallel card you have was from 1993 Pacific regular set with silver and limited gold inserts. The prism set was out of 20 cards was an insert in regular 1993 Pacific collection.

Friends grandmother passed last year and his family found a 1923 world series ticket signed by Harvey Hendrick, Bob Muesel, Joe Dugan, Mike Gazella and another player..of course no Babe Rute or Lou Gehrig but its in the process of being authenticated and graded

I both a pack of ultra fleer basketball n went I I open the pack I see IT, I have over 30 year , the m is only half of the m of Michael Jordan. Might cost many thousands of dollars.

hyped cards tend to come out of the woodwork FAST! when they are hyped by those who really dont know how rare or un-rare a card truly is... ie the 1932 Sanella BABE RUTH used to sell for $5,000++ 10+ years before eBay existed.... c 1985 now its George Herman Ruth's most common card and sells for a couple hundred per card multiple times per day in Germany or USA. all because of eBay Fact is...Most Japanese dont collect baseball menko cards at ALL, they find them and sell them... and most dont use bay..... at all! fact is, there are far more baseball menko collectors in USA than Japan, yet Japan is the source of 99.9% of all JBR JCM JRM etc. menko cards (beside the couple USA issues c1964)... they know how rare these cards are.... a few yrs ago, when 'Jackie Robinson' was mentioned to a very well known Japanese menko dealer, he though 'Jackie' was a female. He never heard of him, and he didnt like baseball either..you could have traded a handful of preWWII military menkos for nice sharp JCM30A-2 Barbon card :D but sadly the military menko's on his want/wishlist were far far rarer! iow, the value will only go down the more these are hyped, the more WILL come of the Japanese woodwork....

fyi, of the 4 different known pre1960 Japanese Jackie Robinson JCM JBR cards.... the 1958 JCM30A-2 Chico Barbon (w/JRobinson image) is by farther the most common card. Its also the only one of the 4 that was NOT made when he was an active player..... the other 3 are 1950 JCM 'RedStar', and 2 different poses for a PC size 1956 '2nd Prize' Bromide issue (1 is unique). All JCM30A-2 cards NOW have a rarity factor of R3, which means there are about 11-99 of each player known, and I have images now of 23 different of the Barbon (JRoby) cards. Years ago it was R4, but one Japanese menko seller guy on eBay a couple yrs ago has shown a photo with 6 crease free examples, and he said these are the best of the ones I have. Same exact source as the ebay one that sold for $15K in late 2023 that was slabbed PSA8 that is laughably stupidly being shown off ebay today for $1Mil.... I also have a near complete set of series 1&2 JCM30A cards and can tell you the Barbon (JRoby) is not even the scarcest. ps there are American cards rarer, ie the very first card of his is his Old Gold Cigarettes card... the 'jumping version' is the rarest and if you read the bio on the back you will see why its called his first card.... fwiw there are Dominican, PR and Cuban issues from early 1950's rarer than the 1/2 the Japanese cards too. bottomline there are at least 4 known contemporary issued Jackie Robinson cards where only a singe examples is known in hobby...

When i was 10 i pulled my best card(s) ever ftom $.99 packs of 95 hoops pulled some jordan skyviews ..2 in one week first.pack.was.him and a glenn robinson one some dude told me to always go fornthe back row bottom pack on the right and i became a believer sfter those i mean a sktview wss ljke 1:480 but jordsn they claimes was more 1 :4800

Your video encouraged me to look through my early 90s football cards and turns out I had a ton of these that I opened and sleeved when I was a kid. These actual came in 3 different variations... the silver(which are the ones you opened in this video), then the silver circular(the mosaic is circular shaped rather than triangular w/ the silver), and then the gold. Each more rare than the last, in that order. All the ones I have are silver circular. My card counts are as follows: (4) Michael Irvin, (3) Troy Aikman, (2) Drew Bledsoe, (7) Barry Sanders, (4) Jerry Rice, (6) Emmitt Smith, (2) Dan Marino, (2) Jerome Bettis, (3) Joe Montana, and (2) Steve Young. So obviously I opened a ton of boxes to acquire so many HOFs. I just may own 1/4 of the population of these bigger names.😂 In definitely going to be sending these to PSA for grading. Thanks for the video, I would have never thought to go through my junk wax era stuff.

Wow crazy you have 3. Another cool thing about this card is that it's an error card, they printed his birthday as Feb 10 but he was actually born Feb 5. Kinda adds to the value which is dope
