Falcon BMS 4.37 | New Toys - Link16 [4K]
Just messing around in a campaign mission with some of the new features including but not limited to some new graphics, models, improvements and DataLink for the F-16!
Task was BARCAP, so preventing the enemy from entering our airspace. And since it was the beginning of the campaign, it meant that the enemy was trying to get into our airspace with every single aircraft available.
The new datalink really gives you a great overview in a simple way without the constant sounding from the IDM datalink. However, especially when the enemy is attacking with a lot of aircraft, it can quickly get cluttered.

None, I use TrackIR
Excellent. Reminds us what the old tech was capable of. I got to walk through a B-17 some years ago - remarkably small & cramped compared to say, a commercial airliner. Got to watch it fire up its four rotary piston engines in sequence, take off, and do a little bit of showboating. Plane was owned & operated by the Commemorative Air Force (different name back then). My dad told me he would watch 1000 plane sorties take off from England. He said that by the time the last plane launched, the first planes were coming home. A full one third of the casualties in WWII were air crews. God bless all those young men and women who stopped the Nazis.

Great video! Love seeing heavies in large formation in DCS. We need more of that! Great camera angles, too. Loved the shots looking down the runway both on takeoff and on landing. Overall, well done!

Thank you! No, sorry. I don't think I'll do tutorials. However, launching JSOWs is the same like JDAMs, except that you have a longer range.

Significant skill on display here. That was amazing work in that dogfight, shame your wingman didn't fare as well as you did, you lost situational awareness for a moment, but understandably so in THAT furball. The important thing is you kept thinking, quickly adapted to your new situation, completed your objective and hit a pretty much textbook landing at the end, well done all around.

My friend, as my potato can't run the actual simulations if I jump on a cockpit, I'm pretty much stuck on falcon as a rts, Wich is by itself lovely, but may u tell me, is there any rotatory wing aircraft that are flyable in it? If yes, do you plan on flying them?
There are no rotary wings flyable in BMS. Though I can visit them in DCS for a future video.
@@Razor_Sim oh, sad, in DCs they are pretty great from what I've seen, but the ear that wages on BMS is definetly not compared on by DCs best servers.
Rather hard landing at the end there, but otherwise good sortie! You mentioned the part about the situational awareness yourself, but I wouldn‘t know what you could have done differently at that point. With Link 16 it could have been a different story but in your situation all you were able to go by was Radar and RWR, so breaking off to reengage was a good move in my opinion.
That was actually a pretty textbook landing... Right around 3 degrees, 170 kts unloaded... Pretty dead on...
I would love to see DCS tackle more WW2 content Africa, Asia, Pacfic, Western Europe, Eastern Europe. There are so many theatres they could do and so many aircraft they could do. Il2 is the closest equivalent but it still lacks so much.

That pane of glass in front of the pilots face is weird!
I think it's a sheet of "armoured glass", presumably to give the pilot some protection when attacking bombers.

What Razor just demonstrated was a competent slice and dice attack with excellent trigger control. Unfortunately, it was only marginally effective in the earliest stages. Once the bomb run was complete and the formation had been depleted, individual attacks aimed at ensuring crews wouldn't fly again could be conducted. All in all, I feel that this was an instructional video on how to conduct such attacks on medium bomber formations.
