How to control the pace of the fight ft. Navarrete vs Valdez 2
Navarrete's strongest skill is his ability to control the pace of the fight. This is how he manages to overwhelm high level fighters like Valdez. This skill is used by many fighters known to control the pace of their fights like Usyk and Golovkin.
In this breakdown you will learn both: How navarrete sets ups the pace and How he maintains control of it despite his opponent's best efforts. And by the end of the video you will know how to control the pace on your sparring and fights.

1 febuary ill send benavidez vs morrel after fight video. Please breakdown
th-cam.com/video/qA6pfWSZ2Dg/w-d-xo.html
Definitively, but these videos take 2-3 weeks to complete hahaha That fight will be a banger
Thank you! Great breakdown
Glad you liked it 🙏
@@delcardo_boxingi give you benavidez vs morrel after fight video would you breakdown
Canelo said his right hand wasn't at 100% If you look at the full fight you can see in some cases his right hand doesn't do a lot of effect.
Tommy herns stayed tall
He was tall, but his center of gravity was low when he punched and moved. Notice how he opened his legs more than usual to keep a solid base. Sometimes he would put his chest down. (Even if it is not as down as I did on the demo). He did a great job keeping a low center of gravity that allowed him his mobility and power. This is why you rarely saw people lifting his head with punches. His base was strong, so even if you get underneath him he would still had the base to hurt you. This video is directed to people whose first reaction is to lift the chest at any signal of trouble, which makes them vulnerable to take dangerous shots. Hope this makes sense
Buddy you act like theirs only one specific way to do it he’s giving an option
@@bookerddn911 fair enough, Is all good to give an opinion, just gave an explanation on how Hearns made it work. As far as I know I was not being disrespectful. And in this case, having good balance is the only way to do it. Everyone should strive for it. How you achieve it may depend of the anatomy of the fighter. Which is what I tried to detail on my answer. Being tall does not mean you are fighting tall.
@@delcardo_boxing I was agreeing with you. He said Tommy hearns stayed tall and I told him just because Tommy hearns stayed tall doesn’t mean getting low won’t work.
@ haha my bad, I was not sure Thanks you 🙏
Benny will destroy canela. He puts honest fear in the soul of canela.Thats y canela ducks him.The whole world knows.😂
If only he had done this with Bivol, he was a bull in a china shop in that fight
Unfortunately Saunders and Bivol are different kinds of defensive fighters. While Saunders is a passive counter puncher. And this allowed canelo to be patient and pick his punches. Bivol is a proactive slick fighter, and allowing him the space to operate and feint would have made it even harder for canelo to fight him. I think his forward approach was a good try. Bivol was just too big and skilled. It happens
Well he’s a weight class down and much shorter, and while he’s beaten light heavyweights before, Bivol is too good for his usual power
Your analysis is b******* leave it to the professionals
I love your content! Hope you will have more and more subscribers, you deserve it
Thank you, Really appreciate your encouragement 🙏 Honestly, I am just looking to share useful stuff that I would have liked when I just started.
Parker is stronger and fitter and much better now than ever before, dubois watch out
Plzz sir can you help me? Like my opponent is medium taller than me and i used tricks you tell in videos of inoue and bivol but that didn't work my opponent use feints too much ,pressuring me a lot , using hand speed and hands down with very much powerful offense plzz can you tell me what should can i do.He also makes me to use my defense much more 😢.
Sounds like this guy is not only taller, but also more athletic and experienced. At this point film of yours and him is the only way I can tell where you can find an edge. Only 2 things come to mind that you may try: 1- Smother him if he gets too close. This will stop the action. Make him respect your space a bit more. 2- Box him backwards. This way you can see him coming. But boxing backwards means that you keep a solid base as you move. But even these concepts depend on you having many fundamentals in place that you maybe disregarding. One last thing that never fails is watch your film of him. And learn from him. Why he gets away with pressure? Why your punches are not landing? Is you breaking base or him using proactive defence? This way you will find a solution or at least grow from these experiences.
Thats a great technique! Requires the cardio and practice to jump right back in after an exchange.
Definitely. Navarrete has a huge gas tank. If one has bad cardio a couple of these exchanges will leave you gassed out haha
If ggg had fought canelo in his prime he could have made crumble
💀
1st2thekey 🌌 🏌♀️
dude this is literally EXACTLY what i was looking for. thank you!
Thank you! Amazing teachings! Liked and subbed!
Glad to help 🔥
Also weighing almost 200 pounds helped as well 😂
Definitively
Plzz can you bring complete guide to fight taller opponent plzz. 😢
For sure, meanwhile you can check my videos on Inoue vs Fulton. It covers the basics on fighting taller opponents
@delcardo_boxing yeh i have watched all videos but plzz next on the topic I suggested you. Thankyou.
Sounds good, will get it on the pipe line
Navarrete is one of my favorite active Mexican fighters. Comes to fight and is more technical than people give him credit for.
I agree he has been one of my favourites too. More tactical than his fights apear to be
what im learning from this first and foremost is that navarrete is nuts
Hahaha I was hopping for the opposite reaction. Why you think so?
great
just what i neded
Glad to hear, What aspect of the video you found most helpful?
Defense NOT Defence
If you're speaking real English It's defence.
As far as I know both are acceptable
100%
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Mikey Garcia has a great technique for countering body jabs and I think it’s pretty similar
Awesome video
Thank you 🙏
Ganda ng foot work ni MM dyan..

Thank you 🙏 Glad to hear that it is helpful
Then the accuracy, GGG is so good at landing his hooks right in the V opening of static high guards.

Please make more amateur boxing tip/technique videos. 🔥
Thanks for the suggestion. I will do it . I am working on a solid ratio between amateur and pro. Like 2 pro 1 amateur or so
Plzz can you help me like iam in southpaw and my opponent is in orthodox he is taller then me in height so,like my opponent throw jab at me everytime i close distance and what happened next is when i try to attack he gets out of range .so what can i do now??
Good question. In principle you follow the concepts that I explain on my videos on Inoue. 1st neutralize their lead hand similar to what Valenzuela did. (This method works for short fighters, Tank did it on Ryan and I explain in on my videos covering that fight) 2nd You punch as he opens up. (How to achieve this is covered in those inoue videos) Hope all this helps
Jabbed out
At 135 Loma isn’t as much of a threat, when I watch his fights at 135 I notice his opponents look way bigger than him don’t know if it’s due to rehydration, but this teo fight you could see teo was way to heavy for Loma
That is the way it is. One keeps moving up and you end up fighting giants. But is just a testament to Loma's talent to even get belts at that weight-class. But yes at this point everyone is just younger and bigger.
это было ахуенно....браво 🎉🎉🎉🎉
