Flinching rex on my hardcore ironman Drag n. I'm not allowed to get any range, magic, or prayer levels. The goal for the account is to collect all the dragon equipment that is not locked behind quest requirements. Enjoy

7 tick halberd from safespot either a 3 tick weapon for perfect 10 tick flinching or a much better 4 tick weapon for 11 tick flinching. I suppose you could also do a 5t crossbow hit a 5 tick melee weapon as well :p Just a neat discovery

This is probably the way Vespula was intended to be done. It's still quite fast and you take way less damage as well as there being significantly less risk of dying. Usually only use 1 dose of range pot and antipoison. Ez Pz

These are panels that help tame the reverb in my room. I probably should have just bought some since I didn't even end up saving any money by making my own lol. It was a valuable experience though.

FYI: You can use a pestle and mortar on any of the three weapon upgrade pieces for extra shards :D Get tier 2 armour and 2 perfected weapons with 1-1:30 minutes left on preparation timer every time! :O

3 years from this guide and is still best guide out there. I watched some long guides couldnt even do prep because they gave me so much info my friend sent me this got prep next run now trying to avoid damage to kill boss. Thanks for guide

I've come to the conclusion that I need better stats for this shit...I can have full t2 armor, full inv of food not take any dmg from boss off prayer, not take any tornado or floor dmg and still only get him down to 100 hp before running out of food...
Yeah sounds like a dps problem brother. Takes some practice to not lose ticks and stuff too

Can someone help? I'm not very good, and even with this guide I'm struggling to find all resources in time. The guide says 3 of one resource on the first trip, but I feel the second trip then takes far too long and I run out of inventory space
If you drop the right amount of items in the first one you'll have exactly the right amount of inv space you need for your second trip. You can't loot any fish until your third trip though
Still priceless in 2024! Got my first ever CG kc after dying repeatedly coming up short on proper prep trying to do other methods. This immediately changed things for me and got my first kc right after! Thanks a ton.

Yes, I think I mention you can kill 2-3 tier 2 monsters instead of small ones. If that's what you mean

@@axurious9187 You wanna wait until you have a staff or something to kill a tier 2 monster usually. Unless that's all you can find on your first trip
always looks so easy when you get dragon and ranger lol.
You can kill any 3 demi bosses and always get the two weapon pieces you want. If you already have a staff and hally piece, you're guaranteed to get the bowstring, no matter which boss you kill, for example.

The guide is helpful but it's still rng dependant regardless what those who are confident at cg say.
Practice your min/maxing like moving to the next room as you're killing things/prayer flicking/prioritizing resources closest to the door you're going to open next/remembering where the closest fishing spots are/and all the little time saves. It's hard content that requires a lot of effort to remove some of that rng
MATE thanks to your vid and some practise it's clicked, The fight is majority controling your nerves during phase 3 then it is pretty simple and that just takes practise. I'm getting more kills than deaths now so I'm catching up to my death count (128) and I got the pet at 65 kc. I don't know if I should be mad or not haha, would rather gotten the enhanced weapon seed.

Wow! What a great guide! This method might not be the absolute fastest way to kill the boss however it is a very cool exploration of mechanics on one of the most misunderstood and unique bosses in the game.

Same here like the other comments, was getting boss under 100hp over and over and just dying with t1 armor, practiced a few t2 armor runs on normal then went cg and got it first try with food left over. Have like base 85 stats / 95 strength.
Can confirm! Every other CG guide didn't help me, but this took me four runs in normal mode to get down and then I got CG on my first try even after I ran out of food and pots! Thanks a bunch!!! <3
Going to try this.. I've tried doing T1, but the prep time is the same as T2 coz I haven't perfected it yet, plus I still can't kill hunllef even with 24 fishes :(

I, like everyone else, can attest to the incredible simplicity and ease of use that this guide offers. I have followed tons of guides on CG; none of them worked. After the first view, I got my first kc. Thank you for the awesome video! Great method. Once you have the mechanics down in the regular gauntlet, this makes CG a walk in the park.

This is the best guide I've come across. I have never been able to get a t2 prep in time until I saw this video. This has changed everything. thank you
What do we do if there are no NPC's in the first trip, or only 1/2 NPCs and a weapon frame is not dropped? I've run into this issue several times now and just end up leaving because I otherwise waste time looking for that first weapon frame.
I just look around a little more tbh. Leaving is fine too

What do you do if you can't kill it quick enough before the grubs hatch
To be honest, I don't think you should even do it this way lol. I think this is just how the developers intended it to be done. Attacking the portal and running away is much better

Great guide. I got comfortable with the Hunllef fight but was consistently too slow with prep. Just sent a few more and it's so much more consistent :)
