After Luigi's Mansion for the GC (and 3DS) I really don't love the designs of the ghosts in later installments. The Luigi's Mansion 1 ghosts just feel so right, they're the perfect mix of "spooky" and cutesy, like they belong in a Mario game, the ones from later games feel way too cartoon like and not as fitting. I know that in the original they're all made by Van Gore, but even still, it's not JUST the basic ghosts, the portrait ghosts also really looked fitting, and later on bigger ghosts that were boss fights just seemed lacking. idk, probably is just nostalgia but I definitely think that Luigi's Mansion 1 holds up in every aspect compared to Dark Moon and 3
