Muse It or Lose It!
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 1 ก.พ. 2012
I made this channel in the spur of the moment when I learned about this excellent little muse helper called Midjourney AI, which uses text prompts to create artificial imagery that you think up. I was having some writer's and artist's block lately and I need some sort of inspiration; fortunately for me, I found Midjourney! "The Sky's the limit," as the saying goes. So, hopefully, I can give some creative insight or inspiration to those interested in creating art through AI. For those who don't know how to draw, those who have writer's or artist's block, or those who just need to be inspired.
By the way, Midjourney isn't free, there is a subscription ranging from $10/m to $600/yr. They do have a trial run with limited tries, then you'll have to subscribe, but I think it's worth it for creatives. I hope that you like what you see and enjoy the creations. Now, let's create some prompts! If you have any ideas, let me know, and I'll create them.

Im working on a project I got hired for to be the performer. well I wound having to do everything on my own. im stressed out bc I don't know what im doing to create story board I've only ever done mood boards. This is easing my anxiety and helping me tremendously and I am about to use this method right now! Thank you so much!!
I'm glad to hear that there are other methods such as AI to help you out with your project. Plus, it's a great way to be creative when you need more ideas. Midjourney, while being a subscription platform, is a very powerful tool as well. I haven't posted in a while, but all of these AI programs, especially Midjourney, have come a long way since I posted this video. Thank you for watching and commenting.
what app???
It's using the web browser from Microsoft called "Co-Pilot." You can also download the app Microsoft Co-Pilot.
I think the video is misleading...Its just directions...i thought your video is about how to create storyboard visuals. Title should be - AMAZING Movie Storyboards *Directions* with BING FREE AI Generator
Tried bing for this and couldn't get images anything like what you showed at the end.
I created this video a long time ago. The algorithm may have changed, as AI keeps evolving. Try being specific in your prompts. Try "Pencil sketch movie storyboard drawing" And make sure to try either of the Conversation Styles Bing AI or Co-Pilot, which is now called. Try "More Creative" "More Balanced" and "More Precise" to find out which conversation style is more accurate.
@@museitorloseit Thanks dude, much appreciated!
You're welcome!
Much quicker and more accurate just to draw your own storyboards. Even if you can't draw very well.
I agree. Plus, it helps you improve your drawing skills, or learn to draw. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Hello I need a storyboard for an architect whether this will be a great option
Working with AI may be helpful in some ways, but you need to work with it, shape it, give the right prompts, etc., and it takes some time to get the images you want. You may be wasting more time working with AI than doing the traditional method of just hand-drawing it. One approach is to sketch your storyboard, even if it's rough, and upload it to an AI tool like Midjourney. The AI can then reinterpret your drawing with some added text prompts. You can also create the image with AI and then adjust it to fit your storyboard with Photoshop or similar tools like that. Remember, AI is just a tool and it needs the creator to nudge it in the right path.
why does bing ai tell me it can't create image models as a writing language ai? "I apologize, but as an AI language model, I don’t have the capability to generate visual images or storyboards directly. "
Make sure you have an account. I use Microsoft Edge as my browser to use Bing AI's Co-Pilot.
As a storyboarder, I want to partner up with good directors. And I can use AI.
Thank you so much.
You're welcome! I'm glad to hear it was helpful. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I'm researching ways to create storyboards for my current work and I came across this video. Very helpful...and your soundtrack is fire!
I'm glad to hear that my video was helpful in some way with your line of work. The music is catchy :) Thank you for watching and commenting.
sounds a little like Saigon Kick
There are a lot of songs I've heard that sound so very familiar to other artists, like Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby, etc. I'll need to listen to some of Saigon Kick's music. Thanks for listening and commenting.
This is interesting BUT storyboards should use certain rules of editing - directions on screen, wide after wide or narrow after narrow... "blocking of a scene... this is the most creative and important part of filming - this is just pretty drawing. (excuse my humble opinion)
I definitely agree. AI struggles a lot and I prefer the old method. You're more precise and like you said, blocking, scene directions, etc. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Actually, just a nitpick, but that's 104 frames (1 to 103 inclusive = 103 frames, but 0 to 103 inclusive =104 frames).
You're correct :) Thank you for letting me know. Thank you for watching and commenting. EbSynth is such a fun tool but so time-consuming.
You're correct. Most people forget that. Like myself. :) Thank you for watching and commenting.
Professional storyboarder here. This makes me deeply sad. It’s harder than ever to find paying work now, since clients are saying ‘we’ll just use AI’. Because AI is free to use, they feel my prices are too high.
L😔
You won’t lose your job you can use this as an tool
I have been trying to generate StoryBoards with AI for months, as of now, I think you still have a job.
I don't think so. I tried to generate a storyboard with AI but it didn't work like shown in this video... Especially if you have a exact picture in your head it doesn't bring it to the paper
❤
why it does not work anymore? sorry, but wasted my time...
I'm sorry to hear that you couldn't use Bing AI like before. This video was posted over 6 months ago, and with AI and platforms, things change, and I have no control over that since I don't work for those companies. But Bing AI has changed its name to something called "Co-Pilot." It's only available with Microsoft Edge web browser. It's still free, and they've added some cool editing features.
You cannot create a story with something that limits your imagination so when you're trying to work with these AI tools you are going to hit a brick wall because of their censorship Or limitation set which will create a story that is not your own unique story therefore making it not authentic and bias from what you have already Envision in your mind so they all fail at just that.
I agree. But it is a great option to get your ideas across. And when you're ready, present your ideas to a real artist so that they can make your ideas into something amazing. Also, director Alex Proyas, the director of The Crow, Dark City, etc. is using AI video from Runway AI to make a feature film. It's definitely crazy.
@@museitorloseit I still think this is a terrible way of doing it I mean what if you forget something that you wanted to put into it but because of the limitations you had to reduce yourself and now because you didn't write it down for some reason or another you forgot to add that one important part to it which is going to give you that richness that it needs.
I hear you. You can actually go back and add that thing that you forgot. You can remix, you can change, you can omit, etc. You can go back to the original image and change the tee shirt to a suit, a clean-shaven face to a beard, brown hair to red hair, add a hat, etc. You want it to take place at night, change the original prompt of the same image.
❤ nice information now days AI do everything and now it gonna kill comic artist😅❤
I don't believe that artists will lose their jobs at all. I hired my artist to work on my comic book and will keep hiring real artists. AI is just a tool. If you don't have money to pay an artist, this is a good way to get your stories out, then when you have some funding, pay an artist to make it 100x better. Why should people who are struggling financially and who have a great idea for a comic book or cartoon, or whatever, be suppressed? There are so many creative people out there who do not know how to draw, how to write, or how to read. AI is a great way to help them out, and has. It's enabled people to see and hear, and help doctors to operate. AI is here to stay, either you work with it, or you don't. Just like when Photoshop came out in the early 90s, graphic designers and photographers were angry because they were afraid they'd be out of the job, but the opposite happened. AI is just going to get replaced with some other fancy gizmo like Virtual and Augmented Reality. People will get bored and find something else. Thank you for watching and commenting :)
Awesome video
Thank you. I'm glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching and commenting.

ok cool BUT how did you get dall-e 3 to work with bing ai chat. where do i go what do i do exactly?
Bing Ai is now called Co-Pilot. You can only use it with Microsoft Edge web browser. Dall-E 3 is already configured with co-pilot. You can generate AI writing, too. All open source. I believe when you download the Microsoft Edge browser, you'll get a tutorial once you open it up. You also get instant updates.

You're welcome! Thanks for watching and commenting.
This was a bullshit ass video. BingAI can't generate visual storyboards. It can only break down a script and storyboard panels. ChatGPT-4 charges a monthly subscription of $20 and up to provide visuals.
Thanks for commenting and watching. AI is changing. We'll see what the future brings, but it's always best to do it free-hand, even if it's just stick figures. Your point gets across much better, I think.
enjoying your content, its just weird how you cut to loud music often. Its confusing, had me looking around the computer apps to see if something was playing in the background. Just my 2 sense.
Hi, thank you for watching and commenting. It's an editing thing I learned when editing films, music visits, and documentaries. When someone stops taking, editors raise the music or natural sound. In this instance, it was because I sped up the video, and I stopped with the voiceover so as to not sound dull. I hope you found some useful tips in the video.
@@museitorloseit I think he means it was raised too high at those points. Sometimes music, especially in commercials, is a lot louder than the dialogue it surrounds which can be uncomfortable to the viewer. When I'm adding my music I try to keep it close to the highest peak of the dialogue track.
Thank you. I use Adobe Audition and keep the levels at a certain decibel. I wonder if I forgot to on this episode. I'll check my archives and see if I edited it incorrectly.
Good video. But did you say you used all free tools ? Isn't Dalle- part of the paid upgrade?
Hi, thank you for watching and commenting. As of today, I can still use Bing AI's image creator. All you do is sign on to the Microsoft Edge browser and use their "copilot" section. I'm still able to create images. Those images are powered by Dall-E 3. You can also type www.bing.com/images/create and then join to be able to create, or search for "Bing Image Creator" in any search engine.
Amazing... The death of human artists.
Human artists are never going away. They're doing better because AI is being regulated, and that's a great thing for the fine arts. Unfortunately, AI is here to stay. I wish I could say otherwise. However, most people can't afford artists, and this is a way to help them get their creative side out. So, once they start saving money, they can start hiring real artists to help them with their ideas or vision. Human artists are NEVER going away, and will never go away. I'm collaborating with an amazing artist for my comic book, and he's incredible! I found him on ArtStation, and he's gotten more work because his vision and style of drawing outperform any AI system. He's not afraid of AI taking away his job, either. Technology is an ever-evolving system, though. Soon, AI will be replaced with something else, like Virtual and Augmented Reality, and then that will be replaced, etc, etc, etc. I believe in heavy regulation and bills are already being written, and some passed. Be patient, this will only help human artists for the better. Thank you for watching and commenting.
I see it as the birth of more time being creative. AI will always need humans to guide it in creative applications, just like a car needs a driver.
No, real artists will include this as a tool for them to master and use as part of their skillset. There will always be new technologies that come along and threaten to shake up the creative world, but artists will never go away. The best will always come up with solutions on how to use these new tools to get the results they need while complacent artists will fear change and be left behind as the world moves on.
@@Nemoticon if the AI was self conscient and working its proper ideas, why not, but for now, the AI tools are just stealing content without the permissions of authors to emulate without realising what they are doing. And honestly, I don't need AI to chew my food for me, as real artist don't need a machine taking off all the fun of creativity. if people wants to push a button for an image, they are not artist, but simili-clients, as the machine does, and they don't.
@@reginaldmolinas6225 'If'... but it's no where near that, even at the incredibly impressive rate of development AI is currently enjoying. Don't look to scifi yet, we're not there yet. And that's a MASSIVE leap to make. Look at the context and that facts, not the Matrix and Terminator, lol, that's just Hollywood being Hollywood. And AI isn't to be feared, it's like any other tool, people have feared many technologies throughout the decades and centuries. The whole 'they took our jobs' meme is just getting old, lol.
Thank you!

To ask chat gpt to create a logline from existing script, do you need to copy and paste the entire screenplay? Or should you copy existing logline and ask chat gpt to review, revise into a better logline? Thanks for your video!
Hi, thank you for watching and commenting. There are two ways to generate loglines and synopsis. One, you can upload your script into ChatGPT 4 and have it analyzed by the tool, or two, type a summary of the screenplay story and let ChatGPT create the logline for you. Yes, you can input your old logline and tell ChatGPT to rephrase it in a professional-sounding logline. I've done it a few times and liked the outcomes. If it's too lengthy, just tell it to shorten it and be engaging. I'm glad my video was helpful. Check out my other videos about screenwriting with AI. I think they may prove useful.
Thank you so much! is there a full tutorial on how to generate the images like you did?
Hi, Renne. You're welcome. I'm glad that I could offer some help. Thank you for watching and commenting. I have another tutorial I did on creating storyboards. I'll post the link after my reply. It's very simple to create movie storyboard panels. If you're using the free Bing AI with the Microsoft Edge browser, I highly recommend it since you have access to three options for creativity. Just watch the whole video again to see what I do. Just type "a movie storyboard panel" as your text prompt. After that, just type what you'd like your scene to look like. If it's a close-up, type that first, and then continue. Example: "A movie storyboard panel. A close-up of a man in his 50s who sits behind his desk with a frustrated expression on his face." I'm going to make another video soon. The link to my first storyboard was using Midjourney, which is a subscription-based AI tool. You can find the link to my video here or in my videos section in my channel: th-cam.com/video/TWTQnZShpug/w-d-xo.html
@@museitorloseit you generated this reply from chatGPT as well right?
Bing AI is USELESS for storyboarding, it's not consistent in it's drawing style, as your examples prove, because you can't enter the seed to be used for drawing generation. Notice you were quick to gloss over that part.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I was referring to the free versions of AI tools for those who can't afford subscription-based AI tools. I preferred using Bing AI because it literally understood every command I gave it. I did create a video about generating storyboards a few months ago using Midjourney and incorporating the Remix tool when it was a new update. I believe it was still in version 3 or 4. I'm not knocking Midjourney. I think they're doing great things and astonishing me with all the amazing updates and the tweaks you can make with the insert operations to control your generations, such as you mentioned, --seed, --niji, --ar, etc. They are really fun to use. Check out my previous videos about how I talk about those tools that include seed, remix, image weights, and more. I can't wait for version 6 to be released soon.
@@museitorloseitThe problem with Ai, is that Ai does what it wants in the end. The purpose for storyboard art is to reflect visually what it happening in the script (mood wise). You would still need to be a human storyboarder to be able to convey mood properly, whether you're the artist or the "word prompter". That's what is missing from these automated storyboard creating tools, they just make pictures.
@@alexameskoa1010 I agree, but Midjourney is definitely working on that. The developers do a live phone chat on Wednesdays and sometimes on Fridays, and chat about things like this. They just released a new algorithm called --cref and incorporating --cw which are Character References where you can maintain your characters throughout and can change the clothes, hair, etc, without damaging the look of your character. But, these are very helpful to people who cannot draw. Also, there's nothing wrong with stick-figure storyboards, if you can just get your point across. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Can this help make Indian characters with Indian costumes and set ups?
Yes, it's possible to create images of Indian characters and costumes. You'll need to make sure you describe it correctly. Also, I found Bing AI, which is free, has a better retainment of prompts than Midjourney's, however, Midjourney has an image uploader in which you can upload images as references to help guide your prompts in the right direction. Midjourney is going to update its 5.2 version to 6 very soon, so there may be even better outcomes. Thank you for watching and commenting!
I'm working on my film script but I'm not good at dialogue writing so I need a ai promote so I can use it to make my dialogue writing.☺️
AI can be a fantastic aid in crafting dialogue, but remember, it's a tool, not the writer. Guide it, shape it, and use it to enhance your story's direction. For more insights, explore my other videos on AI writing tools, including free ones like Bing AI or ChatGPT 3; I think you'll be surprised with the results. Improve your dialogue skills by observing real conversations in the real world and thinking critically about how people naturally communicate. Trust your instincts, if it doesn't sound real to you, it probably isn't. Check out my other videos for more tips and tricks. Thank you for watching and commenting.

I dont see how characters a person creates can infringe on copyright. This can only happen if you have taken ut upon yourself to write say a story about Batman without permission.
AI still incorporates data gathered through other works. I've noticed Luke Skywalker come up a few times or characters from Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, when you decide to choose fantasy genre, etc.
One of the most fun and creative ways to generate a movie storyboard and break down your script into panels using AI tools such as Bing and Chat-GPT. Will you be using these methods or will you continue doing the old-school method? Don't forget to Like, Comment, Share, and Subscribe! Thanks for watching!
Common use of AI in screenplays would possibly be the worst thing to ever happen to the art industry, seeing as film is the most widely consumed art form nowadays. Art is about human expression. Please don’t outsource it to AI that only ever looks at the end result rather than the thought behind it.
I've been trying to tell the viewers to use it as a tool to brainstorm ideas, and not completely have it write your script or novel, short story, etc. In reality, these tools can't write anything with merit. As a screenwriter and writer, these AI tools are only good for researching and tossing out ideas to you. I've been trying to tell the viewers in the latest videos to write their own story and use the AI Tools as a brainstorming buddy, but not to write the entire scene for you or your entire work, because then, what's the point? AI is here, and we can't really do much about it. You have your pros and cons about these tools. It's definitely helpful to those who have disabilities. Thank you for watching and commenting.
@@museitorloseit I did agree to you up to the log line/synopsis bit, I think attempting to summarise one’s story can be very constructive. My comment was more of a general take and warning on AI in art.
I hear you. AI is going to make people lazy. Most people won't care about the arts, though. But, for people like myself, who love to write and draw, we're going to feel it. But, like any new tool, you either work with it or forget about it. AI isn't going anywhere anytime soon. One good thing that came out of this was that it literally inspired me to dust off my old scripts and finish them. I also hired an artist to create a cover for my first comic book and was amazed by his talents. :) As I always say, stay creative!@@qube7590
I feel like Hollywood might as well have been using AI for the past decade, all the unoriginal content it’s been churning out.
There are a lot of great original films and TV shows being made and most of them are from indie filmmakers like Gaspar Noé, Chloé Zhao, Alejandro Loayza Grisi, and Ruben Östlundand to name a few, and production companies like A24 have produced amazing content. There are original creative writers and filmmakers out there, but they're struggling to get noticed. AI may help some get their ideas out, but corporations will take advantage of it. Thanks for watching and commenting. @@boogiefunkproductions2368
this is the dumbest way to storyboard.
I would suggest being careful with what you submit to ChatGPT. Asking the AI to create characters for you might have some copywright / ownership issues in the very near future. Providing AI with your original IP, scripts and stories also allows it to store and refer to it when developing the creative works of others that are using the tool to write, which may be interpreted as a form of plagiarism. Be creative in how you decide to use it for your work flow, without compromising your endeavor, but remember NOTHING will be better than your original and unique expression born from YOUR life experiences and intellect.
I agree. I've been mentioning in each of my videos that there's nothing better than to write the story yourself, and if you need some sort of inspiration or brainstorming ideas, this would be another great tool if your friends or family are not helpful. Use it as a tool, but don't let the tool write everything for you. That also takes the whole fun away from being creative.
Well said. I just wanted to mention it considering how prior to AI, artists were putting their work on these online platforms on to find themselves regretting it a bit. I've been playing with ChatGPT and I do find it nice to brainstorm with as you said when you're maybe stuck or need a prompt to inspire you, and I did learn alot from your video in acquiring some constructive feedback. Thank you! @@museitorloseit
I'm testing out the updated version of Rebelle 6. A realistic painting program that can simulate watercolors and other brushes. Let me know what you think! Don't forget to like, share, comment, and subscribe!
Thanks or the tips! This is amazing. It will def help out in the stories I wanna tell.
I hope so!
I can see this helping our team out. I've been watching all of these writing programs like Chat gpt. There are so many of these programs, though. Which ones do you recommend?
Sudowrite is a monthly subscription, but I think they give you a free trial to start you on your wait. But, BingAI is getting real good with the creative tool option they have. ChatGPT, of course, is a beast and they have the free version and the paid version, which are both real good. Again, use it as a tool to guide you in the right direction and not to finish a complete work while you lean back and do nothing. It's all about YOU and YOUR creativity. As for recommendation, well, if you want to go the paid subscription route, Sudowrite is great for narrative prose work with handy tools to expand on your writing. ChatGPT-4 is great, too, which incorporates plugins like creating documents, graphs, Python scripts, etc. They're both great. If you want to write complete novels or short stories, Sudowrite is a great program and they keep updating it, but you only get 90,000 words every month. So, if you go over your 90,000 words, you have to wait for it to generate. As for ChatGPT-4, you get 50 text prompts, and then have to wait like 3 hours for it to generate, but the cool thing is, you can just use the free version of ChatGPT if you still need some help generating content or ideas, etc. The difference is, ChatGPT has more tools like plugins, document uploads to help with prompting, etc. Check out their FAQ page. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks! Appreciate the helpful info. I'll check them out. Most likely going with the free versions for now and we'll see if we test the waters with the paid sub ones.@@museitorloseit
Dude, I'm checking out your videos and didn't realize you can do storyboards with artificial intelligence. Damn, man, the tech is getting surreal now. lol. Great stuff. Keep it up.
Yes, you can definitely do storyboards, illustrations, etc. You can make a storyboard from your script to help guide you in your vision. I'll be making a new video about storyboards that I think will outdo my last videos. So, stay tuned for that! Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it!
Awesome! Thanks for the info. I'll be checking for that new storyboarding video. @@museitorloseit
@retrospecterentertainment you bet.
Holy cow! This is cool!
Yes, it's really creep too :)
You have some awesome vids here with great tips. I'll be playlisting your content. I want to get into this AI writing thing, mostly to see if I can finish up some short stories I have been planning on writing. You think AI is a good tool for that?
Hey, thanks for watching and commenting! Yes, I think there are a few A.I. programs out there that definitely can lend some sort of help, but I wouldn't recommend using the A.I. to totally write your stories for you, though. Use it as a tool to brainstorm and guide you in the right direction. Happy writing! If you want to go with the free A.I. tools out there, ChatGPT and BingAI are great. I think Google has one too, but I haven't tried it yet. Check out my other videos about writing.
Im sorry but this has to do with ebysnth. How do you add more than one stylized image? Does this help with movement, it get fuzzy in some parts. Also is it better to do image sequence in davinci resolve or blender? Cause I did it in blender and it turned out funny.
Hi, I don't know too much about EbSynth, but if you have questions that delve deeper, I recommend emailing or checking out the FAQ on EbSynth's website. The people who developed the program would be the best place to get help with any of your questions. This is the link to their FAQ, but they have an email as well on their Home page where you download the program. ebsynth.com/faq.html Good luck with your projects!
Is there any way to email you or something. I keep getting resolution doesn't match?

Ok but.. what if I want full control over what my coverage is going to be? Surely the prompts can understand 'Medium Shot of...' for example? If it can't do that, then it's a very anti-filmmaking tool.
While Midjourney devs are continuously updating and listening to the users about their AI program, you can actually write that in. You can write "Medium Shot," "Wide Shot," "Bird's Eye View," etc. Remember, if it doesn't come out the first try, try rerolling until it comes out. Also, I made a new Storyboard video a couple of weeks ago where you can actually sketch something up fast and let Midjourney take control to modify it. There is also a new button called "Vary (Region)" which can also help you modify things within. There are so many buttons and tools with Midjourney, that there are ways to help the creator. Check out my recent uploads. Thank you for watching and commenting!
The new Vary by Region tool is very crafty and the baby brother of the Remix tool! Try it out and tell me what you created! I hope that this helps you on your next projects. Don't forget to like, share, comment, and subscribe!
