Plane the 2x4s down instead of replacing them
Turn you your Lazer off when your moving it around it damage the calibration
Yeah I stopped buying stilettos and moved on to the Martinez
Maybe to prevent it from hinging also. We also put those straps on garage doors.
Gay
Lol
Man I love your videos. Can you do a video and show me how framers find angles quickly when they are framing?
Yes, definitely
Is he certified to operate that machinery
Isn’t that vest heated? Say what you wanna say 😅
Sweet $400 hammer I guess.
Check your kings and Jack's are plumb before you start hanging your doors
I like my Estwing! A 16 and a 20 oz. Have had them for 30 years or more!
My dad has an old plum handle hammer he's had for decades.
I used to have a plum back in the 90's, I kept breaking them and switched to an estwing
Keep it up

Thanks
Fucking right on
The job we all inspire to get
Why are you checking rough openings with a dang laser. Waste of time
I’ll stick with a 40$ hammer
What an idiot
Wish more contractors would bother to check their framing like this, would make the finish guy's life a little easier.
As a finish guy, brother you are killing it.
Hart 22oz $26
That don't make a carpenter
Tyvek is not acceptable below ground and behind concrete, go buy some rolled sheet metal instead
Concrete guy will put something before he pours. I just framed it.
@@NCContractorsI would recommend termite. Shield for any stem wall foundation especially if you are pouring against it
When using a laser never attempt to check plumb or lvl on the edge always pull ie an inch or use a straight edge with tabs.
Lasers are a lot faster than using stand off levels. I did that for years and switched to lasers. When we plumb the walls, we use the dot, not the line, for better accuracy though
@@NCContractorssorry I confused you. I mean you can't rely on a laser to indicate plumbness or level on framing material by using the edge. If you pull and mark an inch in on the framing you can. If the material is cupped and bow your laser and indicate plumb or lvl but it actually isn't. You also have to align the laser with a control line in that plane. I'm sure your framers are excellent.
Oh I can correct it ; I am a finish carpenter. I carry around a 3 pounder and knock that bottom plate or trimmer if not to bad. It screws up your reveals & if bad, bad it messes up the entire door not shutting correctly.!
Never used the zip system but, the over shoot on nails from my understanding means less shear strength from your plywood or osb. Its not about water penetration. Looks beautiful though.
El inspector jefe
300.00 plus more money than Brains
I bet you drive a car or truck that costs more than you really “need”. Don’t be mad you can’t afford one
Get a metabo nr83a5 with the flush attachment. Do the work once not twice.
The way inflation is and everything way overpriced.... Tools with this high a price point to the consumer should be considered flat our disrespectful and greedy !!!
Wild how Americans will make the most quality of wooden houses instead of just using brick and/or concrete
I wouldn’t buy a new house on a bet unless I had it built. The shoddy work done nowadays it beyond worthless. If you buy a new house that was not inspected by someone that really cares you won’t have a house in 15 to 20 years.
Someone is doing more than one project at a time. Without oversight. Not good
Shouldn't we have done this beforehand? This is after the fact. Good luck
The scab will send all your employees back to their homeland,, you gotta focus on
maybe you should double check your own work as you have a typo in the video heading "doulble" instead of double
Maybe so. Relying to much on auto correct these days
I am one of those trim carpenters . It’s called “crosslegged “ when one trimmer is not plumb to the other. As far as that house? Mam , I would be happy to trim that out it’s pretty darn solid ! I might add backing on my walk thru and room for stair skirt? That’s it ! Well done Louis !
Where would you put blocking for the skirt bds? At the top and bottom? Or all the way?
Great Workers you got :) where did you get them from? oh, Mexico!
great videos keep up the great work!
Get off your wallet and get some metabo framers with the flush nailer attachment. I didn’t like the nr83a5 trigger or valves so I put my broken nr83a2 trigger and valves on the a5 shoots just the old nr83a2.
Quality control 👀👍🙏🇺🇸
This same process should've been done to check the forms before pouring concrete.
I agree, these guys spent 2 months getting the foundation in.
You cant square up a foundation. Its a done deal. You're not trying to square a frame on a car
He's talking about squaring up the house not the foundation.
How do you “adjust” the house after everything is poured?
I can turn it slightly 1/2" one way or the other depending on which area is out square. This house is stick framed so there isn't trusses that have been made to a certain dimension. That gives me some flexibility to shrink or grow the house slightly to make it not hang over the concrete wall or be too far back on one end. usually on the basement houses one corner has leaned out or in a little as they were pouring so I just try to minimize the fact that it's out. I keep the framing all square, but if I can turn it even just a 1/4" it can make a 1/2" problem in one area only a 1/4" in a couple areas making it easier for the brick layer or siding guy to make it look good
House.is.made.of wood....so....it's not difficult...you can adjust your sill plates accordingly!
Must be cold out
Lol
Shit compared to framers around here.... well let's just say I'd let you frame my house lol
Thanks for the compliment
@NCContractors No problem, and holy crap I didn't see you guys were out of NC, where do you guys usually operate? I actually may be remodeling a place in a couple years that's definitely going to need some work (roof damage, probable water damage down to the basement, probably going to at least need some rafters, studs, and window frames redone)
We are in indiana
Nice haircut man!
Get a life, it's for hitting things. Posh rock.
Lmao, the Trump praise with 7 ille% gals in the intro framing a house 😂
