This is my first RV Transport trip. I went from San Antonio to Elkhart, IN, to pick up my first load. I also did my orientation as well, so I was gone for 5 days. Ram 3500 Dually towing with the Blue Ox SwayPro weight distribution hitch. Truck and hitch were both great with no problems. The hitch was really easy to install, and provided a safe, and silent ride www.etrailer.com/Weight-Distributi...
Trigger Systems Sapphire CR44 Sump
มุมมอง 603ปีที่แล้ว
Newly installed sump. I had to order 1 extra 1.5” emergency drain with the acrylic piece and also 1 extra 1” return fitting with the acrylic. There was already a spot factory cut for the emergency overflow, but there wasn’t one for the return, so I had to cut that in. I used a jigsaw and a dremel and had it cut out in just a few minutes.

RV Sewer Hose Storage
มุมมอง 2K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Used 2, 5” vinyl fence posts to create a larger sewer hose storage spot. The 2022 Open Range 330BHS travel trailer came with a 4” hose storage on the bumper, but it wasn’t large enough to fit the bigger fittings. Plus I needed enough space to store extra hose.

Dont know how many more trips we will get in this year, because it is starting to get cold here in South Carolina, so stay tuned! We got most of our gear from MooseJaw and NemoEquipment, because t...
Weston Lake Ft. Jackson, SC
มุมมอง 6233 ปีที่แล้ว
We did a one night trip to Weston Lake Recreation Area at Ft. Jackson, SC. This was about 40 minutes from Shaw AFB, and it was really nice! We stayed in one of the prepped tent sites ($10), which included water, electric, and a prepared spot (about 12'x12') to setup a tent. There were also primitive sites ($5) that were close to the bathhouse and looked like it was a really flat area to pitch y...

You can do short runs to make up the fuel cost from Texas, then take a long haul for the week, and take short runs to pay for your fuel going back home.
Very good video. Thank you
Soooo, What would happen if you slept "in" the trailer instead of the truck or a motel?
If you really want to do multi-haul, it's time to move. You can always go back as long as you DON'T burn that bridge. You will never know till you try it. Ya know?
Keefer Southerland pulling rvs. Take load to Texas and deliver it
Aluminum will not last as long as it fatigues and cracks, then you fix the crack and it will break somewhere else.
Matt where have you been are you still doing rv transport hope you are well and Merry Christmas.
14mpg unloaded for a dually? That's brutal! But enjoying following along on the journey
Question about ELD. Do you have the auto steps? If so, does the eld and steps plug in together.
Insecure
The way to stay under length limits is to have a E series truck with a sleeper. Shorter hood.
Just out of curiosity, do you have a truck bed on the back of your truck and how are you getting past the bridge laws with a 53 foot trailer in a 8 foot truck bed
Where are you????? Need an update. I hope all is good.
Matt just watched and subscribed to your channel, couple of questions are you still hauling? and why did you go with a 53' trailer ? are the rv's that long? and how do you unload at the dealer with the winch on flat ground? how do you like hauling for Classic Transport? thanks for the video be safe out there
U guys are absolutely awesome. I have said it before but yall really are a inspiration I'll will be at orientation dec 2nd. Got approved ready to roll just had some family things to work threw. Thanks to watching your videos i have bought a truck , built a bed , rigged it out got a fifth wheel, tool boxes, cameras, bed cover the works. I really do thank yall. I have been in the trailer business for almost 20 years selling utility and gooseneck trailer and parts. Recently the company closed my location and I wasn't offered a job at the other location and didn't really no what I was going to do and then 1 night after alot of praying I ran across ur channel and it's all been good since. All I have ever wanted to do was travel the country and support my wife and this will do it all. Keep doing what u do ur changing lives God bless yall
where are you???????????????????????????????????
WHERE ARE YOU??????????????????????????????????
good info, this will help me out. Thank you, Sir
Seems like every one of these driver videos about "How much money did I make" I've got to sit through half the video listening to the posters go on and on about their personal life and problems. Damn it, I'm not interested about your BS. I clicked to find out about the RV Transport industry pay possibilities without the BS. Thank you for your service to the USA, but other than that I'm NOT interested.
I think he has quit!
You're limited to 65' with a dully & trailer, and the fine is pretty stiff in some states.
That trailer would pull great but you deffinantely need wdh and also sway control. What wdh do you use? Also what sway control do you use when towing tt's.?
You said you are San Antonio Texas great video 👍
Where you at these days man
Thank goodness i found ya. Been trying to get an idea on towing that rv. I just bought ine and will be taking delivery in a few weeks. Im super nervous about how this is going to tow down the road at highways speeds.im aware that fuel economy is going to suck but im prepared for that. can you tell me did it sway alot? How about handling? Backing up? I will be installing anderson wdh. And i plan on towing regularly for camping. My tow vehicle is a 2024 ram 3500 single wheel With cummins ho and factory ram bags
Here's my two cents worth, get out of it all together, you make better money mowing yards
If you are on the return trip do you have to follow the log book?
Put in a large, really well secured storage box at the front of the bed to store your generator. Bolt the box into the bed (up through the bottom).
You still running??
Hey man..haven’t seen much from u lately…are you still hauling campers
Diesel heater
Theres is a small diesel heater you can buy
What is going on with your hauling
Please don't take it personally but your business plan for intire trip does not make any sense to me. I do realize you had to go there for traning and to became a driver, but you should have planned much better, maybe gone back to IN for another load. Are you able to drive for several outfits? I know that most share ride drivers drive for Uber and Lyft at the same time. Dont forget that you now own a business and youll depreciate the truck, food and hotel are tax deductible, your cell phone and internet is tax deductible. I have a house in Austin TX and in Cleveland OH. So I've driven that back and forth several times. At 65 and 2 days of driving 10+ hours I would need at least 24 hours to recover. I am thinking you need to invest in to a roof top hard shell collapsible tent / sleeper. Another thing you should consider is an Air B&B contact at strategic locations example Memphis TN, half way point to Indiana. Someone in your comments had an excellent suggestion regarding getting in touch with trailer OEMs like Big Tex and cut down on empty runs. In my opinion, you need to became a sales representative for your company and spend more time planning and calling potential customers.
In case no one told you the shuttle driver pickup fee is tax deductible so keep up with what you’re paying of that fee.
You'll catch on soon. No back hauls, no loads at the terminal. But reject a load for personal reasons, then you're on their doo doo list. Feel used and abused? You will!
I backpack. A good down bag and an air mattress are the way to go. I have a 0 degree quilt, Enlightened Equipment. 18 degrees outside sleeping in a tent on trail is no problem so I would think a truck cab would be a little more wind break etc....
You forgot to subtract TAXES!
You do not need a CDL to transport trailers/5th wheels do you? And if you transport rvs do you need to stop at all the weigh stations? Thanks for the information. Why are you getting a cdl if it is not needed? Are you wanting to flat haul more then one trailer?
the 12 k harbor freight winch was 500 on sale with the remote and steel cable
got step deck shipshe only payed 6500 but had to do a lot of work all the bearing had a spindle replaced put a harbor freight winch on it bet ill be 10 in it before im done
Good content. Good luck to you. Why not do regular hotshot?
You're illegal in most states being over 65 feet total length. Some will.let you go if you have the bed removed.
1099 gross 100k.... thats terrible I gross 140-150k a year W2 driving for walmart and I'm home every 5 days for 2-3 days I'm just bored and came across your video . Liked the video tho
Great video. Hang in there with the multi haul. It always cost more when you first start up any business. How is classic transport versus other companies?
What your average mpg?
Keep the wheels and the videos rolling man…we enjoy them👍
What about the taxes???
Dude bought the trailer, but realized being hooked up to a 53 footer all the time sucks …. I would rather haul a 26foot trailer to location and then deadhead back … and not have to load or unload them on the 53… there’s no money in rv transport people
hi Matt and thank you for the information, I would like to talk to you about this if your still working in the industry.
