    Imagine buying a television or some other household device and having to go through this kind of torture just to connect it to Wi-Fi. And this crap won't connect. I will never again buy Mitsubishi air conditioner after this!

    no connection since yesterday in my two devices (heat pump and AC) exactly same behavior as below (blinking unit error, Net) tried to connect using different methods and different routers even hot spot from mobile phone to be sure that home internet is not an issue. This looks for me like Mitsubishi BUG after software update or something like this. It's impossible that two devices have broken in the same time....

    This has always worked for me (for two years now). Now after I complete all these step to reset it still ends up blinking all UNIT, NET and ERROR. What to do? I tried rebooting everything: wifi rooter, mecloud app and the interface.

    What do they use the same app to control the air source heat pump? When it clearly should not come on when the room is above the set temp ( air con would be required if the room was hotter than required) Mitsubishi heat pump control are the worst think you could have if your life.

    Every time I took a ferry from North Shields to Amsterdam I notice the massive Dogger Bank wind farm. I thought it was huge. Then in 2021 out of the blue I checked who was leading wind energy and it was reported China in 2021 one year alone installed 21 GW of offshore wind turbines which is bigger than the entire UK wind generating capacity. It looks like whatever the British are doing with the wind turbines the Chinese were working a lot harder and busier.

    Is the exterior pipe insulation designed for external use. Leaving the isolation valves uninsulated seemed bit cut cost. Told that the small bore cental heating pipework will not work effectively on low water temperature. Why was it not upsized when larger rads installed..

    So, I have an Air Source Heat Pump in my workshop/office. IMHO it's the best thing ever... -3c ambient it uses 280w to keep the temperature at 22c (12000 BTU 28.8m2) As good as they are I don't think I would retro fit one in our cottage due to the fact that it is a tiny 18th century cottage with infill in the stone cavity, there is also no room for a HW Cylinder without adding an extension. Taking all these things in to consideration the first and biggest stumbling block would be the cost of these units. They need to drop in price if people are to become greener. My Air Source Heat Pump cost £450 and was a self install with quick fit connections. Just seems to me that the price is far more prohibitive for a system that also generates HW...

    We have had a heat pump for 10 years, it is not overly expensive to run and works great. The house is always warm, plenty of hot water and the noise levels are no more than a fridge. The only negative is the initial instalation cost. The house is 120 years old with solid brick walls, we just have a radiator in each room , not particularly larger than normal.

    • @Lewis_Standing
      @Lewis_Standing 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Didn't get solid wall insulation? Managed without? Did you get wider pipes or stick with standard 15mm ones?

    • @peterkirby842
      @peterkirby842 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Lewis_Standing Just 15mm pipes. The downstairs walls are 15" thick, upstairs 11", no other insulation. We have double glazing and rockwool in the loft and upper floor.

    • @Lewis_Standing
      @Lewis_Standing 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@peterkirby842 that's interesting thank you Peter. I'm looking at my heat loss using a free calculator. I think I could cut my energy bill by 60% by solid wall and suspended floor insulation. With next year's bill estimated at £3300 it could be a bargain.

    • @keithnewton8981
      @keithnewton8981 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      OK currently my annual gas bill for heating hot water and hob cooking is £390 a year what your heating bill. My house is 2007 build 5 bed 3reception rooms kitchen, utilities, 3 bathrooms two with mains and hot water tank fed showers. So not a huge house but not 3 bed semi. Our ground floor is concrete block beam suspend insulated walls my wall are brick with insulated cavity concrete block then insulated plaster board (polystyrene layer on back of plaster board ) on all external walls ,with double glazed windows.

    • @peterkirby842
      @peterkirby842 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@keithnewton8981 We are all electric so difficult to say how much of the cost is for heating. Our annual total energy cost, heating lighting and power is £1300.00. That is an average over the last 5 years. The average Uk domestic energy bills up untill recently was £1200.00. When I did some research, the average annual cost for a house similar to mine, was £1600.00.
