I agree with nearly everything he says apart from one thing, his beliefs regarding nutrition and cardiovascular health. Here he explains his reasoning and the so-called science for deciding to go to a fully plant-based diet. Would love your opinion. th-cam.com/video/Kfmk-tELVMg/w-d-xo.html

Even the basic amino acids contain ap.150 dna letters on their sequence in which all of these letters must be precisely ordered or nothing will work. And Kay thinks this could be done randomly much less all of the other much more complex processes

    Ken Berry is 230 pounds with 2 disciplinary actions against him since he can't follow rules. In the 2019 Ken Berry book on page 103 he says nuts and seeds are very healthy, the nutrients and fiber are great. Page 187 says I eat many servings of colorful veggies every day. Page 192 says there are many days each week I eat no fiber at all. Page 205 says I often go days without eating anything but fatty meat cooked in either lard or butter. This is how your thinking gets wrecked when you eat a bunch of junk. There are no references in the book since he may not have read any studies.

    One lost his license and the other never had any license. Never consume a carnivore diet based on a century of validated evidence. High carb centenarians. 2010 study title: "Discovery of Novel Sources of Vitamin B12 in Traditional Korean Foods from Nutritional Surveys of Centenarians." These Korean centenarians consume a high carb diet with 87% of plant foods and 13% from animal foods. They have almost no access to synthetic vitamins, supplements or fortified foods. Centenarian men take in about 1700 calories per day and about 300 grams of carbs per day. These people are set in their ways they do not play games with diets or experiment with any type of money making fad diet.

    Insight: humans are carbohydrate-addictive because when our genome was being sorted out (by natural selection) there were very few freely-available carb sources, especially in the size and attractiveness we see today. Hence nothing needed to be selected for in that process hence its consumption became a weakness that could be exploited by less compromised invaders: very few records are kept by extinct tribes. The advent of farming pushed selection for productivity and appeal of fruits and grains and partially by inexpertly modifying the genome for preferred crop outcomes. The sole counter to temptation is resilience, trying harder to never fall back into the harmfulness of carb consumption. Meat has enough anyway.

    • @marcjames3487
      @marcjames3487 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I also like this viewpoint - that carbs as fruits were only available seasonally, just before winter, so that over indulgence in that short period was an evolutionary plus as we put on a few extra pounds to see us through the upcoming Winter. So we were designed to over consume for that brief period. Of course now with carbs available daily your explanation comes into full effect. Once you feel the benefits of giving up carbs totally, that gives resilience, although I still suffer the occasional craving !

    • @peterclark6290
      @peterclark6290 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@marcjames3487 A fair point. E.g. the Inuit. However more determined individuals and tribes would be quite proactive in remaining in the subtropical zones where winter is not a life-threatening period of months and also where different types of fruit and their unstructured distribution made it available for a much longer period. Putting on a few too many pounds in these more desirable zones might be a limiting factor in the hunting/defending required to remain there.

      I suspect humans have accumulated damaging mutations that caused the carbohydrate and lectin problems. The notion that all life evolved from a microbe is 19th century mythology that can _only_ be believed by faith with no support from modern molecular biology.
