It’s a mashup. Video scrapbooking but I mostly like building things. Expect some travel, hikes, climbs, fitness, fishing and lots of builds!

LAUNDRY ROOM REMODEL
มุมมอง 4468 หลายเดือนก่อน
This home project was far overdue. Custom sink vanity, custom countertops, new electric circuit, and 2 paint jobs made this a lengthy one. I thought I’d be in and out in one long weekend. Well, it rarely works out that way.
Ep. 6: Shovels & Switches - Digging Deep to Powering Up All in One Weekend!
มุมมอง 470ปีที่แล้ว
Talk about a busy weekend. ! In just two days, we transformed our property from ordinary to extraordinary, well, kind of. We take on the ultimate weekend warrior challenge, tackling trench digging, grading, brush relocation, and an electrifying installation project-all while making the most of rented equipment. #glamping #camping #treehouse #decks Drone footage by Ben Childers Photography

Christmas Vacation to the US VIRGIN ISLANDS 🏝️
มุมมอง 388ปีที่แล้ว
Finally, I present to you the ultimate edit that was long overdue! So, picture this: during the last Christmas break, we jetted off to the US Virgin Islands and had an absolute blast frolicking in the sand! Let me tell you, this trip was next-level cool because we actually stayed put in one place and didn't have to play hopscotch from destination to destination. We mastered the art of travel in...
Tent Platform DECK DONE! 🏕️
มุมมอง 796ปีที่แล้ว
We were able to get lots done in two weekends. Electric meter set, temporary water source, complete decking, and begin handrail post install. We are really happy with how it turned out and are excited to see what it looks like when it’s completely stained up and ready for use! #gen1 #Decks #DIY #Treehouse #Carpentry
BATHOUSE BUILD PROGRESS! 🏕️
มุมมอง 227ปีที่แล้ว
This will be a big job, no doubt. But if every trip is this much fun, I’m good with it! Bathhouse part 2 and the 2nd structure reveal. Our plan is to live out of this tent on the lower part of the property while we build the treehouse. It’ll take a few build weekends to get this wrapped up but this work is also a chance to test building features and techniques!
We start the BATHHOUSE! 🌳🏠

BUILDING A TREEHOUSE IN RRG! 🌳🏠
มุมมอง 741ปีที่แล้ว
This is the first in a series of our treehouse build in the Red River Gorge. While we will be showing you how we are doing some things, this is not a how-to series. This is for the mems! Videos should be uploaded monthly. #treehouse #build #climbing #tinyhome #redrivergorge #explorekentucky
🏝 INGROUND STOCK TANK POOL!
มุมมอง 660K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Our inground stock tank pool was born out of a need to have a place to quickly cool off and not be an eye sore. It’s simple to maintain and so refreshing! We decided on a plastic stock tank for a number of reasons. It already had a drain plug hole that was easy to waterproof as an outlet to the pump. Bring fully underground made it more susceptible to rust if it were galvanized and since it was...
The Red River Gorge Climbing LEFT FLANK!
มุมมอง 3853 ปีที่แล้ว
A 50 degree Saturday afternoon at the Left Flank on Mr. Bungle and others.
That food at about 7.30 looked so good!
Why doesn't it pop out of the ground?
No matter the size it’s all still Hard work with a splash of freshness at the end
Nick what size stock tank did you use for that setup...

Sand filters are better. Can find a cheaper end of the year sale
My God man, all that intensive labor for a kiddie pool. We bought an above pool roughly the same size for under $100 and can break it down/ set it up under an hour. Same results
It's beautiful!
doing a similar build.. and id love to know about the little waterfall circulator you got.. did it work out well? id love to use something like this! can you share where you purchased from???
@@greenbasil it’s a waterfall feature for small fish ponds. You could find it at any big box home improvement store. Although, I wouldn’t advise using it unless you also have a subsurface jet. It just did not circulate the water well at all. I have since removed it and replaced it with an underwater jet. you might get better results if you don’t locate the waterfall directly over the outlet.
We're gonna put a 28in poly inground. How deep should we dig our hole ?
Hahaha
Great pond!
Awesome video! Very meticulously done! Looks amazing! Well done guys! Very envious here in the UK!
Awesome tutorial!
I only dug mine halfway down. Really helped keeping things from blowing in since we have a lot of trees in our yard.
It’s lovely.
It’s beautiful and looks like the perfect little pool!
It would be much better and enjoyable as a hot tub / pool
Hmm... I was actually thinking about getting a kiddie pool myself once I buy my first home. But never actually about digging a hole into the ground to turn it into an in-ground pool. Now you're giving me some new ideas.
Should have used a digging bar to loosen the clay.
It’s beautiful!!! Great job!!!
If you have gas on your property don’t forget to call energy company before digging
looks awesome
How to you keep frogs and snakes out of this?
So pretty good information.
YAY! You are still posting! Binge watching your vids since I can't afford contractors these days, might as well learn...amateur DIYer here. lol
I NEED TO KNOW WHERE THIS MOVIE CLIP IS FROM AT 1:43 PLEASE!!!! LMBO!!!! 🤣 But seriously amazing job and one last thing who is your builder, they did an excellent job making sure the water flows properly away from your home; most builders including mine are too lazy and cheap to even consider doing this. Bravo on the project!
2 year update?
Awesome video, good times!
It is amazing.
1:57 Warning for your ears! 😏😣
What are u an archeologist? Get some proper digging tools 😂
Oops, should’ve filled your pool and let it set for three days before your backfilled it
We would love to know how it has held up in the long term.
Looks awesome! Can I ask what the total build price was (tools excluded)?
About 1500 USD. I owned all the tools so I can’t say.
@@nickbuildsthings Thanks a lot! I've got most of the tools you used myself as well, so just knowing the materials bill is all I needed. Building material tends to be a little more expensive in Europe but we'll see! ~1500 is a small price to pay for a happy wife...
Good job
This was really great to watch. Amazing job
Real great job - loved you including your pets in
Looks so good. Great job.

Wow, this dude is seriously so talented, a body can learn so much from watching his videos. Liked and subscribed🤘🏼

Love it ! Wow!
Love the colors (❤ all greens)! You're truly a craftsman, and Lauren has the eye for pulling it all together! Enjoyed your video with my coffee this morning🙂
Thanks! This one was a lot of fun
it looks so good!!!!
how long did it take that epoxy to dry?
24 hrs
LOVE your pure paradise!!!!
How do you drain it?
This is the most impressive thing I think I've ever seen. I won't even mention that you actually touched a spider as well, LOL
Nothing like having a man that's not only loving but super handy and creative. Kind of like having a real life super hero! Excellent job!
It’s pretty freaking perfect ! ❤
I dug a pool by hand. Once.
Looks Beautiful!! The Shirt Off Would Had Got You Many More Likes!!! LOL!!
