Duct tape😊
That could work as well. Would work better than anything else!
Just a training trail for the locals to head over to "the good stuff".
The good stuff?? You might need to show me what's up!
How has this gone for you, have you upgraded to 40s? Thoughts on going to the 1.75 over 1.5 stroke?
It has been great on the 40s. I'm not sure if the 1.75 is actually needed or not. My limiting factor currently us the slower response when turning hard one way then back the other way at slow speeds, but I think that's due to the flow rate of the pump. But for l just normal driving and on trails, it works very well.
How about now? Still on the 2nd set or? I was thinking about getting a set but not sure I wanna do this job twice
I actually have changed out to one ton axles since then. From the last I heard, they were still going strong. That was about a year ago however.
I like how you did double the cup holders on the back of the couch
Extra cup holders! Never too many!
I swear, that jumpsuit went on and your whole mood changed😂
🤣
Very helpful video, good explanation.
Glad I could be of some help for you!
Looks like a fun time! Thanks for sharing!
Was a blast! Might have to get you out with me on some trails again soon!
Kinda looks like you should at least look into a Buggy. That thing rocked it.
That means I will HAVE to trailer it. I do enjoy my creature comforts. And with my jeep, I could take you both out wheeling whenever I make it out there!
@@4WDTrek Lotsa great places here for it. I Sure wouldn't turn down the offer. 😁
@@4WDTrek Wouldn't you be able to take it out on your school bus?

How wide are the fronts? Looking at the hooke 6.2" ones. But may be too much and go with the kbd

Do Renegade's need transfer/ diferencial and transmission breather extension tubes while going through deep water/ mud?
I would suggest it highly.
I love my renegade. Little think is a beast
They are extremely surprising for sure! Very capable rigs.
@@4WDTrek We shouldn’t be surprised. At the end of the day they are a Jeep.
@@papabear463 That is very true! Plus, the driver of the renegade is super skilled as well
Well how do you back the gear up
You turn the gear the opposite way to back it up. One way tightens, one way loosens
someone give me the mods you pput on that i want them for my latitude

I know right! So much life stuff going on.
yes yes! ice cream sandwiches!
Obviously on some adventures!
Finally! been waiting for this one!
Yes! Been super busy and haven't had time to get stuff done recently. Gotta get back on it!
@@4WDTrek how will power work for the fridge? Is there enough room?
@CJtheRocker I'm running the power through 12v and on its own circuit from the battery. The plug for the side is actually built at a 90 degree angle so it sits more narrow than the handles. I think I'm going to attach a spring part way on the cable so it pulls it up out of the way when sliding back in.
@@4WDTrek ahhh perfection 🤌🤌
ICECO discount codes???
Unfortunately not.
@@4WDTrek dang!
“I did a bunch of math….” What’s new?😂
Mathing always mathing
Uhg video great except you keep mispronouncing naches. It's not nochis. It's pronounced nat-cheese but no T sound. Sorry it's just annoying to us locals when others come in and say it wrong. Love the vieos tho.
Yup. I was told I pronounced it incorrectly a lot already. I learned! Can't wait for it to open back up this year!
Did he still have tractions control and electronic stability control off? It sounds like it is struggling. I haven’t lifted mine renegade or put bigger tires. I always turn off the TC and ESC and put it in manual shift. I do not have the trailhawk though.
I honestly couldn't tell you what settings he had on. I do know it was in a mode where it mimicks 4 low though. It purposefully drops the rpms and spins the tires slower to be more controlled.
Was the Lincoln town car drive by wire and you swapped it to drive by cable?
That is correct. Since I didn't use the town car wiring harness and computer, I had the option with the holley. I'm happy with the decision!
@@4WDTrek so did you just swap the intake and throttle body?
@@devonstimmerman1256 I swapped out the intake manifold as mine was cracked. But I got a BBK throttle body
How did you shorten the axle tube. The explorer is offset about 2 3/4" on one side
I did not shorten it. I left it full length. Haven't had any issues with the set up yet. No clearance issues at stock height.
Awesome video, what brand radiator did you purchase to replace the old one? How has it been holding up?
I think it was a mishimoto one. It was a friend's jeep I did this on. It worked out super well up til the day he sold it. Unsure as to how it is now though. Probably still holding up!
Great and realistic video THANKS FOR SHARING
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!
L cameraman, purposely staying off the back of the renegade. I wanna know if my latitude is capable! I didnt see the trailhawk logo on the side, now im just left in confusion.
The renegade is modified a bit. Has a small lift and slightly larger tires. But other than that, it's all driver skill that got him through it all!
I have a small leak that drips into the pocket on the dashboard. I'm searching for info before I tackle the problem. Elsewhere, I have no other leaks. As a new Jeep owner with zero desire to go topless, I put a bead of silicon between the Freedom Top and the back roof. Just enough to cover the exposed seam.
Thats a good idea if you never wish to take your tops off.
Super helpful! Thank you guys
Glad we could be of help!
The trails at tahuya have been greatly improved in the last year. I used to do it in a Ford escort. It’s way more challenging now.
I'm planning on getting back down there and doing an updated video on it.
I currently have both sitting in the garage. Had the 2000 model from new it’s a great drive and very predictable. The new one is very different it’s a great drive but it’s taking some time to get used to.
My biggest thing to get used to was going back to a non electric clutch after the electric one. It's really weird.
Mold?? How does that happen? Not safe dude!
When the tops leak and you don't drive it for a period of time, it can develop mold. But no more mold and no more leaks!
I’m about to set mine up with the ram in pretty much the exact same setup. Which port on the steering box did you run to the stationary side of the psc ram? Would definitely save me some time if I knew before I hook up my lines for first test
Off the top of my head, I don't recall. But I know 100% that whichever I ran in the video, it was backwards.
Front hole (radiator side) went to the stationary on mine.
I bought the same panel the front went real smooth. I used 8/32 machine screws. I now have to tackle the roll panel end. My jeep is a soft top
Nice! Definitely super handy add on!
Safety glasses with flip flops 😂
Haha yeah yeah. At least my eyes won't get chopped off from a broken grinding disc!
Excellent engine choice!
Thank you! It's been a very solid engine so far. Plenty of power, fires right on up and very reliable
Amazing you didn't burn your garage down with the cardboard laying around and the grinding sparks. The surgical masks are bare minimum, should have a real partical filtration mask on.
Thanks for the tip
This video was DIY perfect 👌
You are welcome bud!
My temp gauge not working l replaced the temp sending switch did not fix
Very common first step!
Great video THANKS
Glad I was able to help!
An air arc or carbon arc powered by a 400 amp 3 phase welder will make short work of all that torching and sawing and will keep grinding to a minimum. Its basically a weld eraser
I'll have to look into that. I ended up getting a plasma cutter when I was chopping up the metal body of my school bus I'm building to a toy hauler. Wish I had it for these axles!
I'm shocked they didn't require sleeping the holes
What do you mean by sleeping the holes?
so if my transfer case linkage dosent exist, i should get this?
As long as you have the lever coming through the transmission tunnel from your hand lever, and a transfer case, yes. This will be what you want!
I used to be a jeep guy but I have run naches trail 5-6 times in my side x side it makes the trail a lot easier
Side by sides definitely do things a lot different and faster, that's for sure
Tough trail! Great video!
Thanks bud!
100% bugeye. Small fun GD body, EJ20. Cable throttle, no driving aids. My kind of car.
I do miss my bug eye for sure.
@4WDTrek I'm in a similar spot but I have a VA. Not a terrible car but it's just not like a older subaru
I thought there was no fix for this? I thought it was technically an engine issue?
Nope. Clear out all of the sand and fixes the issue. Might take a lot of flushing as well, but it works!
@@4WDTrek Oh ok. I didn't know that. Thanks
@@7CFlo I also added a coolant filter to filter even more out, just in case some got missed.
