I have always wondered why guys tip the bat backward before the swing to create more lag instead of tilting it more back behind the head where the hands actually counter rotate? Wouldn’t it give the hands more distance to turn the barrel back around to gain bat speed? Is it just preference or am I missing something mechanically?

I use the same grip as your first and if I'm swinging a very endloaded bat I only overlap 2 fingers instead of 3.I feel it gives me more control

you are in my ballpark :) first take... it's interesting and you lower the stick like Aaron Judge's coach says to do. second grip is the Alex Rodriguez grip with the stick in the fingers and the knuckles in the right places... not like the baseball grip at the end lol that's blocking you, you shouldn't do that :) but from what I've seen of your videos I wonder if you exhale your breath like you are blowing out the candles on a cake which will give you better precision and more power.
