It is so hard to declutter college textbooks! The”Just In Case” mentality is a really hard one to break or battle. My thought process with it is that there are MUCH updated versions nowadays and things I can access digitally so easily now as well so I figured it was a good time to let them go. Nope! I try not to buy clothes that need to be ironed as I don’t have any patience for that. Every once in a while I’ll need to iron a shirt for my husband but for the most part I almost never iron. If there are wrinkles in some things that I don’t like, I will spray the wrinkle with water and press it a little with my hands and hang it up to dry. Does the trick!

Great idea! If we ever move, this will probably stay with the house as a somewhat permanent feature so we didn’t have a problem cutting into the wall. But it was significant damage to the wall if we were to want to take it down at some point - the 1x3 and shims is a great option! Thank you for commenting!

Thank you! Yes, very sturdy. My one complaint is the shelves are not adjustable and are only about 10 3/4” tall spaces between shelves so our bigger homeschool and reference books have to lay on their sides. But if that’s my only complaint then I can live with it!

Hey Joe! Yes, we really do like these bunk beds. We originally bought them when the girls were 4 and 3, to keep them lower to the ground but such a small bedroom needed bunk beds. I like that my 5’2” self can still hug and kiss the child in the top bunk, scratch their back to soothe them when sad or scared. If they had normal height bunks I would probably have to climb a ladder to be able to do those things. If you end up having more kids, this bunk can actually go three high too which was an interesting aspect to it. We ordered this bunk bed from Walmart.com and the memory foam twin mattresses are from Costco.com.

Not a video but we like these mattress protectors fine. I don’t think they’re anything super special but they seem to work well and are affordable. When I purchased them, my main hope was that they would not make crinkly sounds when the kids moved around in their bed and keep moisture off the mattresses. They haven’t had pee accidents in bed but we have had vomit happen and they kept the mattress clean and dry! Weekender Jersey Waterproof Fitted Mattress Protector, Twin also from Walmart.com

Haha! There are days when I bribe them with screen time to get some cleaning done but I do think they value a clean space and play so well in it when it’s not a disaster! Their room stayed pretty well clean for a few weeks with maintaining picking up after themselves before they let it get a bit more messy again. We all got sick so I wasn’t doing great following up with reminding them or having them do clean up before privileges like screen time and such. But even tonight, it was a mess but they did a great job tidying up before I let them listen to an audiobook at bedtime. It’s possible! You can do it mama!

Good idea about trash day! Ours gets picked up first thing in the morning so we clear the house of trash and recycling the night before. Dogs do create a good amount of mess don’t they!? Haha! My Bernese just sheds a ton everywhere and tracks in leaves and other yard debris making me vacuum ALL THE TIME 🤣

Yes, the closest one to us is about an hour and a half away so we ordered them online and paid the extra for delivery. Since it was such a big purchase it was pretty helpful to have it all delivered to my house! I do love browsing through ikea though when I am in that area! Haven’t done that in a long time though. 🤪 there’s a LOT of clutter in that store 😂 it’s probably a good thing that it’s not a convenient shopping place for me!
