Why y’all explaining the problem away? This is nonsense. Mike says 80% false 20% true…how does he know? He has the gift to discern it? And explain how it’s okay to know which ones aren’t true and allowing them. This is so goofy. My parents are into this church and I watch it occasionally. Constantly they have “healing testimonies”. I’ve yet to see a testimony of a healing that is verifiable. It’s always “I was healed of my leg being longer than the other by 1 inch” or “I was healed of migraines” or the best one “I was healed and I never get menstrual cramps anymore!” Guys come on. Have a bit more discernment. Is this really the “greater works than these”? Or is this just people who wanna believe something that isn’t actually taking place here? Not that it can’t, but it’s not. Let’s be realistic here.. Maybe I’m biased because I had been involved with House of Prayer type ministries for 10+ years and I had visited KCIHOP many times… I have 1000 of notes I’ve taken on various sermons and I have plenty of things I disagree with… I have never had any inclination that IHOP was a cult and it truly breaks my heart when I hear people accuse IHOP of not even being Christian. But the number one issue I have encountered from local pastors is anger and jealousy directly related to some accusations such as “sheep stealing”… so I believe it is from this, this mentality of “those sheep are mine” that they have revealed the reason for slandering IHOP.

hmmm... Not really, but yes.. Yes in that we should absolutely hold prophets accountable, and there needs to be a public statement if wrong, BUT... PROPHECY, in nature, is consistent across both testaments/covenants. Prophecy is by it's very essence speaking forth the words of God. There's nowhere the Bible says that we do it by "faith". Either you hear, or you don't. That simple. Prophecy is judged by others in the New Covenant because this is prophecy as it relates to wise utterances, not foretelling events.

You don't have to worry about a future harlot because christianity has been a harlot since shortly after it began. The number of denominations is indicative of division and strife which proves the carnality of Christianity. Christ IN you is the Good Shepherd who guides HIS sheep into all truth and no MAN shall pluck THEM out of the Fathers hand. His sheep hear His voice and a stranger they will flee from. They don't recognize the voice of strangers who peddle an adulterated understanding of the Word of God for profit. This is the difference between the many called and the few chosen. The many called are under a curse and under strong delusion in the carnal church system trusting men. Wow. Watching/ hearing This really makes so much sense. I’m searching on YT to find out what is happening to me during worship at church on Sundays. Not always do I experience the HS power come on me like this but there are times. I really struggle w when it comes on me....I feel embarrassing or intimidated in the sense ppl are watching me. In that case I’ll hold back n won’t allow it to happen. But as I hear MB speak it saddens me he doesn’t acknowledge what I experience times at my church.

Not all prophetic 'words' are carved in stone. Sometimes they serve as a warning of something that can be avoided by taking an appropriate action. Jonah was told by God to prophesy to Nineva that they would be destroyed. They repented from the King on down and God repented of the thing He said He would do. A King was told he would die, he turned his face to the wall and repented .... God gave him another 15 years. So NO prophetic words are not all predictions of certainties .............

May or May not be a cult. But in some churches, the pastor has a very dominating and controlling spirit or attitude whereby he is like influenced the emotions of the congregation. For example if he felt that a certain person is unlikeable, then the congregation will shun that person. So, we should just pray for him to change for the better. This shutdown during the Pandemic had caused many Christian leaders to 'Reset' and 'Ponder' their Doctrine and Theology. Some even experienced disciplines from the Lord even before the shut down. For the Lord Jesus is looking for a perfect church without blemish and its Leaders must be True shepherd. A blind leading the blinds, all will fall into the ditch!

Mike, you know how you said it’s ok to say to someone, “Can you not “woo” for awhile, I’m hurting.”? Well I’m hurting. Listening to you is like trying to read a great book while my apartment manager is right outside my window mowing the lawn. “WHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!” The sound is so loud and annoying, I can’t focus, I can’t read. Your teaching is great. You say things no one else does that we need to hear. It’s refreshing to hear the 80/20 manifestation observation. But do you have to shout it all the time at the top of your lungs? It drives me crazy. I can only take a few minutes at a time. I wish you’d take a tip from David Pawson or Art Katz. David was often really wound up in his very early teachings. It was like he was trying to drive the points home with whipped up energy and volume. As he matured, he quietly taught, relying on the Holy Spirit to do the heavy lifting. Sometimes he would raise his voice, but it was rare not constant. I can and have listened to him for hours. I’ve bought flash drives of his teaching to give to my grandson as part of his inheritance. Art went through a similar transition over time. He became much easier to listen to as he matured, I find. He also use to say that when the Spirit wasn’t present in worship, churches would turn up the volume on the amplifiers to compensate for it. It’s soulish substitution rather than relying on the Spirit. In your case the content is of the Spirit and great, but do you have to shout constantly? That seems soulish and unnecessary. I wonder where you first learned to shout into the mic all the time? Did you hear preachers growing up who always shouted their sermons? It seems to be a prevalent practice among many American preachers: “If I ain’t shoutin’, it ain’t preachin’! Glory!” It wearies me. If Jesus shouted it was probably so the 5K could hear him without a mic. But I hope he didn’t shout all the time. You have a mic. You don’t need to shout. This is a 2011 TH-cam. I hope you have mellowed in the intervening 9 years. If so, please forgive my out of date comments. If not, maybe it’s time you considered it. Thanks for listening. I appreciate what you have to say.
