NGL, I miss this game. This game kept me going during COVID restrictions. I always wanted a mix of Empyrion and Satisfactory. This is as close as we got, but the builders in the community were awesome! The events the content creators organized like the expo. The devs promoted the content openly. It was amazing. If only we had ways to make money for us who were still grasping the concepts for building. My base is probably completely wiped down to the snow. I was up in the mountains near a content creator who built a huge cathedral.
It certainly is a game with a very unique blend of building and community that is just about impossible to get in any other game. We will keep DUing it!

How did you manage to get such smooth cinematics? Very powerful computer? Mine is only a couple of years old and all I get is studdering, even with low graphics settings, ever since I had passed the 200k. Now, I'm at 470k.
I have a 4080 and the certainly helps but after 200k it seems even the 4090 rigs will start to chug in CS2. I work the rest out with editing. Most footage is sped up and to get a realistic speed I need to speed up the footage by 300 to 400%.

DU IS STILL ALIVE. Development on pause for 1 year! Super disappointing there, but the community still has a pulse.
Heck yea, I think there is a group of us that have found our thing in DU regardless of whatever NQ does or doesnt do. I hope that group is large enough to keep the lights on, or we will just have to go build our castles somewhere else.
Swervin love the dedication and positivity of the game and I am sure just like many of us you are struggling to find content in the game. I do miss the older weekly videos where you didn’t just race and show a dome. You flew around and looked at random builds and showed what you were building yourself.

I thought about doing some cut scene to someone saying "you got the stuff" but I settled for a cash register sound instead.
Alpa was great removal of planet mining killed this game for me wish they would just roll it back to that version of the game glad some people still play though some creative people or just make servers like in space engineers i try i do try find new updated info on this game dos not look like anything new in a year what about claims is it still high rent
They brought taxes down to 500k from 1 mil. Yea there's still a small group of us living our best DU life out here.
A loop for that problematic left turn (thus upgrading the diamond to a partial cloverleaf) would have probably fixed it too

How does the game run when you are building ? Just as smooth ?
The game is playable, but a lot of the smoothness you see in the video comes from editing. The game play experience is a bit different.

I would say yes and no. The game itself is in maintenance mood and has been for a while. They didn't even bring back all of the planets that were in beta. But, for a lot of the players we are creating our own content and the place I am at racing in the video is actually thriving if you can believe it. It certainly doesn't have the player base it did in beta or right after launch, but there is a core group of players here now along with a trickle of new blood and it is certainly a thing for us and probably will be until they make us leave 😄

A real-world city with similar skyline would be a city with at least 5 million people. I wish the "scale" was more realistic in this game.
I agree. SimCity 4, released in 2003, is still probably the best city builder at realistic scaling that I have played.

@@WizatekGamingOfficiel Zoning high-density and ensuring all basic services are in the green (water, electricity, education, fire etc.) usually will produce big buildings.
your animation is smoothly ,but i see you have same issue like me with the trees,they become detailed wen you closer ,and blurred wen you are far.what kind of graphic card you have,i want to know if card or game is issue,because not all players have this.how big is your city now ??
