@@ak_swervin nice job man! It looked like it, that's why I asked, but I have to say it's really impressive, looks nice and clean, nothing too fancy but being vanilla it's only logical
Great City! Do have no problems with the performance / simulation??? Have you specific settings? Ich have simulation problems with an really good hardware...my City has 200 K
Thank you! I did spend a lot of time tweaking my settings to get the best performance I possibly could and this Gamer Nexus video came out last year but is still a good reference th-cam.com/video/l4DX6mUY78s/w-d-xo.html. However, even with the most optimized settings eventually the simulation will slow down. The hardware just prolongs how many citizens you get before it happens.
Rog Maximus Z790, i9-13900k, 4080, 64gb. Started losing a bit of performance at 100-150k and slowed down "all the way" at around 350k but it still runs if you are a patient builder.
Thanks! Yes it is very profitable mainly from taxes paid by commercial and office. I am able to fully subsidize residential and max the funding on services.
Off topic, how many people can live in the city this size, I think surely realistically speaking, with a city this size, I think in real life will get you 10x this population, no?

My definition of unplayable is when the game crashes on loading, so if I can play it at all then it is playable, but I don't mind playing it very slowly and with reduced fps.
Realistically, this city would have millions of people, this city has more skyscrapers than New York City And Hong Kong combined, and it only has 600k?
Yes. City skylines has a very limited buildable area so there really isn't a way to have a skyline that is realistic to the population unless you are making a very small City like 20 or 30k. SimCity 4 allowed regions when it came out in 2003 and that is the only true City builder I have played that allowed a close to realistic scale of population to buildings.
Yes, this has been the big issue with most city builders. tmThey don't have a realistic build area for large cities. Even in the first city builder SimCity back in 1989 you had to almost max out the map with skyscrapers to get 500,000 population and 35 years later this is still the case. The only game that allowed realistic population sizes was SimCity 4 where you could build on an entire region and get regional populations in the millions. I hope the next great city sim developer puts high value on realistic playable map sizes.

This city can replace my home's heater this winter
Toasty warm!
Now i know why my room warmed up when playing this video.
Bro uses NASA Pc to run this
this is gorgeous
Thank you so much!
Looks wonderful!! Reminds me of Vancouver ngl, very pretty city!
I appreciate it!
Congrats on the big build! That is an unholy amount of skyscrapers. I never have the courage to build that many
Thank you! It has been a lot of fun trying to keep it heading in the right direction.
One of the best looking city!
I appreciate it!

How is it running!?
It chugs along slowly but surely.
awesome city 🌆❤
Thank you!
Oo city brother ❤❤
This should work for an ad of CS2 because I want to buy a new PC just to play it dude
I appreciate it!
in real life that city would have like 2M people
Good example of an American style city. No mods on it?

The simulation, does it work? Or is just a scenarie?
It is fully functional savegame all vanilla (some minor 'move it' has been used).
@@ak_swervin I see. Great job. Still working after 600k is a miracle, most games stop the simulation at 250k.

Nice😊
How to get there without being completely unplayable in simulation speed ?

@@ak_swervincan I have it jk
how did you even manage to run simulation at normal speed lmao, I am at 500k and the cars are barely moving haha
My game runs super slow as well when I play. This is all editing.

This looks more like NYC so average American city?

Thank you! I do have homeless all over my parks. I hope it clears up with the resent patch after I let the city run for a while.
