Hello and thank you for visiting my channel :) I'm Catherine, I live in East Yorkshire, and I write cosy mysteries set in the English countryside. My bestselling Tommy & Evelyn Christie mysteries are set in the 1920s and I'm currently uploading the professionally recorded audio of my books onto my You Tube channel.
New chapters are posted twice a week - on a Monday and Thursday. Once every chapter has been uploaded, I then upload a video with the entire book as I know a lot of people prefer to listen to a book when it is complete.

Oh My my, I had no idea that you're reading your own matters! This is really a fun, delightful experience. I just finished listening to my first ever, T & E book, (your sixth), now I am to start over, with book one. Murder in India was a bit of a twist, I never 🦉 thought that it was x that did it, I kept thinking it was (the idiot) lady x actress. Ya got me. 🎇. Oh please keep on, keep on writing, for we that can no longer read, losing vision is fer' shitz. My greatest admiration, m. 🎉. IL USA

Excellent narration but why does the author keep referring to the actors as being silent movie stars. Surely that’s a retrospective saying once we had talkies. They were just movie stars at this time .
Quite correct - I hope this didn't spoil your enjoyment of the story.
I wonder what the time period is for this story? Was this during silent movie actors or “talkies” actors?

Oh definitely - there's so much that can be done these days. I'm very glad fewer women these days than in the 1920s have to face that sadness.
This narrator is excellent 👍! She also narrates the Rachel Prince Cruise Ship mystery series too which are also really good.
She's fabulous isn't she! She also narrates my Martha Miller books too. I could just listen to her voice all day long :)

Why doesn’t the author let her have a baby? As you mention the lack of in every book? As I’m a OBS. Nurse and I feel so sorry for her!
I didn't ever mean to make Evelyn's difficulty to conceive part of my books but when I did, I didn't want to then give and let her have a baby just because I felt sorry for her! I hope you understand :)
Throughly enjoyed these books and as I Yorkshire lass myself I loved listening to the adventures of Tommy and Evelyn

I'm enjoying your stories, thank you for sharing. I wish though, that you'd find some other way to torture the poor woman and let her have a baby, it won't change her lifestyle or abilities given her means and it's kind of cruel IMHO.

Hard to listen to her voice
I can’t decide how I feel about this story… The reader of it is good. I like her voice and presentation of the characters. There elements of the story however, that are frankly just stupid. Or perhaps I should say poorly thought out and written. On the other hand, there is something delightful about several of the characters- especially Tommy and Evelyn and their relationship. Thank you for uploading!
