Welcome back to my channel friends! In this video, I visited the Luckett family in Austell. I finally got the opportunity to interview Sydney Luckett, walking around her five acre property for amazing "Garden Talk". This conversation is not what you'd expect and was actually quite insightful. I truly hope that you enjoy the topics and property tour as much as I did. Feel free to like/share/subs...

    Should've moved further south for more tropical fruits like cashews, mango and bananas. Awesome leap of faith. I think it's a cold hardy banana that may grow in Georgia if protected in the winter like a hoop house or something. Nice video

    Sis,after you cut the bushes get some professional grade landscape cloth plus brown cardboard to lay down first because of the spiny bushes. Overlap the landscape cloth ,lay a long strip down, then overlap at the halfway point. Most people over lap a few inches a the weeds push through the cloth. You can add rocks on top. Or you can buy the busted bags of cement from home Depot to make pavers . Or you can buy this sand mixture at Home Depot its sold in a bucket spread it over the cloth spray water and it becomes compacted. The intial cost to do either version will be expensive but it will last for years ,in between time use vingar for any weeds that sprout. Im a retired landscaper,do a small section at a time until its done. Happy gardening

      That is awesome! You're doing better than me. My corn actually failed... again 😭. First, I didn't plant enough for the people in my home. Second, I used Bonnie corn for the 2nd time- that could be the problem, idk.

    • @Africa-for-Africans
      @Africa-for-Africans 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@apvchronicles404 first thing I would say to try is organic potting soil if you already haven’t. The brand I use that gave me great results is ( Back to roots, organic potting soil). Corn needs a fertile soil to thrive in. I’m in Atlanta and most of the soil is clay so I had to buy a potting soil mix to grow mine in successful, Walmart carries this brand for like 7 dollars a bag. Another issue could be the time you planted the corn 🌽. You have to plant it after the last frost of the year. The soil should be warm and loose so it can germinate easily. Corn also is a heavy nitrogen user so you should have a good source of fertilizer. Fertilize the corn when it reaches 6 inches tall. A cheap source of nitrogen I use is DEF fluid, it’s actually urea the same stuff mammals urinate out. Urea is high in nitrogen and corn loves nitrogen. Try diluting 1/10 ratio of DEF fluid and add it to your corn when it’s time and you will see it grow very strong 💪🏿 and fast. Last thing is the verity of corn you used, try bilicous corn. It’s a hybrid and does very good. Space the corn 9 inches apart and plant one inch down and you should see some good results next year.

      @@apvchronicles404 last thing I will tell you is if you have space issues, grow some corn 🌽 in a Home Depot bucket. Corn does well in those to, be bless and good luck green thumb.
