Reggie Watts is an amazing comedy performer. His voice is insanely versatile. He can sing, loop, beat, groan, growl, yawn, yell, mumble, and then drop three octaves. He can create a jungle with his voice, become odd characters, launch rockets, turn words into shapes. You can never be sure what's going to happen next.

This was the first time I ever tried using my DSLR to shoot video. It's SUPER shaky, as you have probably already discovered. I was holding up a heavy camera with a long lens while also focusing manually with a terribly shallow depth of field and a tiny view screen. Storm's Holiday Ordeal was held on November 27th, 2009, at the Aladdin Theater in Portland, Oregon. Storm Large, Holcombe Waller, and Wade McCollum sang "Hallelujah," with James Beaton on piano and Scott Weddle (off camera, darn it!) playing guitar. I usually do regular concert photographs, but Holcombe mentioned to me that I ought to try to catch this song on video if I could. I am SO grateful...

Turn volume up and view higher quality - thanks! :) I had to do a tiny embedded video for a school project... I was given only 30 seconds and some stringent file-size parameters. It's meant to be a small showcase of my abstract photographs. Only one of these images was photoshopped (apart from cropping to fit in this series).
She is indeed an amazing talent! and an inspiration, from one singer to another! she rocks!!!!
