NGS experience was indeed intended to be an evolution of the franchise. One that was completely necessary. I wouldn't say Base was "fan service", however. As, it just simply followed the exact same format as the previous games dating back to 2000. At the time of its (PSO2 Base) release in 2012, this made sense. However, releasing another PSO that followed that same format as all the prior PSOs had, at the time NGS was released in 2021, would not have been the correct thing to do. Base had a phenomenal 9 year run and was a fun game. That being said, I do get what you're saying in regards to its Global launch being a type of fan-service. Especially considering it was released only a year prior to NGS's release. Realistically, PSO2 Base had exhausted everything left for the franchise to do with that format that they'd been using since 2000. Could we see a return to that format in the next installment (PSO3)? Sure. But at the very least, it was necessary for them to step away from it in order to reevaluate & allow the franchise to grow. Especially in an everchanging market/gaming landscape. Indeed, both experiences are unique in their own, and that's perfectly ok!

As of right now, Scylla is the only one that has received balance adjustments. Of course, this could possibly change in the future, and the MARS system will surely be built upon further down the line in the future, which will naturally see adjustments of sorts.

Hello! Next week will indeed bring a lot more as we enter into a new weapon series! So if you're all prepared and feeling pretty strongly about where you're at right now in terms of items, gearing & what you wanted accomplished, then indeed this could potentially be a good time for you to take a relaxer! In regards to the Eredim series, do keep in mind that you can already transfer Eredim augments to any weapon for free. They are the only weapons that work like that, as they did so to help give a strong introduction to the aug transfer system upon its release. So you will indeed be able to freely transfer your Eredim weapon augments to the new series. Let me emphasize that this only works for free if you are transferring from an Eredim to another weapon. This would not work in reverse if you were transferring a different series to an Eredim.

It's not entirely uncommon for it to be that these games share some sort of service in common that has a hiccup (think, the recent crowdstrike debacle), etc etc. Or some sort of targeted attack. Of course, more often than not though it's just coincidence.

Hello! For Steam you actually have to go purchase AC through the Steam Shop on the PSO2 NGS page. What you're experiencing through the in game function is actually the normal function. So to purchase AC, you'll want to go to the NGS Steam (where you launch the game) page & you'll see the options there. They're listed under DLC. Do note that whenever purchasing AC, give it a little bit for it to register into your game. Also, changing blocks or simply logging out to the main ship select screen then logging back in should refresh it. That aside, as I felt helping you with that should be prioritized to help your experience, indeed All Ship Matchmaking is crucial for the less populated ships. So I definitely understand that people like yourself on less populated ships surely have been more heavily effected by it. Which really sucks, as it's important that everyone is able to enjoy the game!

Hello! It's not that they fully got rid of weekly maintenance. Just that some weeks we won't have maintenance. For instance, as listed on the website, we will have maintenance this week (20/21st), as well as next week (27/28th). That being said, indeed I'm interested into knowing what the cause of this was, especially considering that they couldn't hotfix it/have a short maintenance. Surprised that this likely will have gone on for two full days without addressing (I'd imagine at this point they're just waiting to address it with the weekly maintenance).

@Spikesxu oh yeah I know they haven't completely stopped it, I've just seen somewhere that they said they were not been doing it as frequently and I just think that's a bad idea

Well you can still do Leciel, as shown towards the end of this video. You just need to toggle off the All-Ship Matchmaking option. So don't let that stop you from queueing in until its fixed! After maintenance we will be receiving big boosts to Leciel Exploration, so this next week (the week we are currently in, but after maintenance) is 100% going to be Leciel Exploration that you should capitalize on! Camos that sell for lots in there as well as the higher opportunity to get high fixa'd items & Ektasis units!

@@regingnik5892 I definitely know the feeling! I think we were all there at one point or another for sure! As time goes by & you continue to play the game, you come to realize obtaining meseta isn't too bad though. The big thing is just be sure to be aware of the campaigns that are constantly going on. We're likely to have a seasonal event starting next month as well, so that will bring more opportune meseta making options & ltqs!

Definitely understandable. As I generally imagine, most of the player base does appear to tend to want easily obtainable items.

The armors are the base item of the new item lab feature that we'll be getting that allows us to upgrade these units. We will be able to add HP & PP to the units, amongst likely other things (possibly potency). So these will be units that everyone will be upgrading to no matter how one looks at it. Also, Einea armors were not as readily common as Ektasis are. When Einea's dropped was during the Rayjord Gorge update. Which took place during PSO2 Triple Burst Day, so there was an added boost of 200% RDR. The initial drop rate of Einea's was very good, but was far from the virtual 100% as seen with Ektasis. Einea had a great drop rate that was highly accessible but still allowed for a chase. I'm also not sure what would've made you believe that they would release units at 7.5, when Eineas were sitting at 5.5%. This would've made absolutely no sense whatsover & would've essentially broken the current game. With the way that potency works in the game, the higher the potency, the more impactful small numbers are to the total. The team realizes this, which is why we started to get .25% & .75% augments. Most of the values in this game are multiplicative. So a 7.5% unit, which is 2% potency more than Einea, x3 which would be 6%. With current max potency with these units being over 200. The added potency from new units at 7.5% would likely add around 18% to ones gear total. Which would literally make all current content pointless.

@@Spikesxu I was more speaking in the present tense, as for me it would be +.5 potency per armor while losing out on 35 hp/7pp/ and 1.0DR per armor. That adds up quickly if I wanted to swap all 3 out. I understand the armors in the future may be useful but as of right now they’re terrible. Also octo to Einea was a 1.0 difference so why would Einea to the new one be only .5? Just seems like a downgrade to me right now at least

​@@RubyRoseStacia Hello! I hear you in current accessibility, as naturally Eineas have become much more accessible, as they've been out for 6+ months. Also, we're aware that the item lab feature will be make or break on the presence of the Ektasis. This is moreso discussing the accessibility of the Ektasis/items. Not so much the logistics of if you should upgrade or not. Which I do have a video that thoroughly discusses this inquiry, titled "Should You Upgrade To Ektasis 10 Star Units". With that being said, to answer your latter question, comparing old metrics is not wise in a vertical game. Especially one where numbers are multiplicative. So while you noted that Einea was a 1.0 difference from Octo, this circles back around to my previous response & the points made in it. The numbers are multiplicative. Which means that the higher our total potency goes, the more impactful these additional points become. For example, at the time of Octo to Einea's release, I believe the max potency obtainable in the game was somewhere around the early 100s. We'll say 130% as reference point. Now, max obtainable is around 200%. So a .5% upgrade now is actually equal, if not significantly more impactful than what a 1.0% was then. Due to how the numbers work multiplicatively. This is why it's unlikely to see wild large jumps in potency on units like we saw in the past. We'll surely see a 1.0% increase on units in the future. But I doubt we will ever see a 2.0% increase. As, at this point, it'd be tremendously too significant unless all mobs were increased by 15-20 levels. I hope this response helps to better understand how the system works!

@@somfplease I wouldn't call them worthless. Wingards are still great weapons. And we don't know where the new weapon is positioned at in terms of power. We only know its potential. With that being said, certain Wingards are still running for at least a few million.

@@Spikesxu "worthless" to sell in the shop. they are still the best weapon. not worth fixa grinds since I have every eridem weapon class maxed out with 4&5 fixa fatales, termina and unwix. technically Its better to multiweapon one fixa 5 so you only need to augment one weapon anyway. i probably should sell a few of them before the new weapons comes out and they become "worthless" too.

You mentioned Shadow The Hedgehog & now all I can think about is the solo game he had back in the early 2000s where he's using giant weapons 😂

Hello! Thanks for your input! They (NGS Devs) specifically stated that these units will be enhanceable & the periods between new units will be lengthened moving forward. So there's not much question that ultimately everyone will be moving to these units. Which I suppose is why they opted to make them so readily accessible. It really just boils down to what the new item lab uggrade feature is going to look like. The impactfulness & level of difficulty of obtaining materials to enhance your gear. I do agree that the new system is a better option than them just handing players gear that's not really up to speed that they'll use for 6 months. As it does create a good baseline.

@@Spikesxu the vibes I have from what was said is meaning the upgrades will be to add hp,pp to them. I am assuming they will not be releasing different versions like vio, or Agra, Belta, and all of that. But I do agree and it’s possible they could make these standard to crafting higher lvl units. That would be new but I find that unlikely because of how readily available they are. If that is the case augments are about to drop in price significantly.

Hello! Thanks for the input! Indeed, as I mentioned in the video, the big thing is how the new item lab feature will be implemented. That's the unknown variable that really pieces together the scale of the release. With that being said though, the new item lab feature is a month+ off from the release of the new units. For me to have been able to farm & build 3 units from scratch. Two to 4, and one to 3, in the span of 2-3 days of not even remotely intense farming, feels like they're a little "too" accessible. Or, rather, they were released too far in advance of the new system. This is exacerbated by Leciel being a poor recipient of the units, whilst triggers that take 4 minutes to run, yielding a 99.999% drop rate. If you make everything "too obtainable", it creates another problem in retainment. Opposite of the one that occurs when things are "too unobtainable". Ultimately, it comes down to the impactfulness & difficulty of enhancing the units, which we will see soon enough. Either way, being able to obtain such high fixas from scratch without spending a single meseta, in 2-3 days of fairly minimum playtime, feels like a little much.

A lot will be riding on the item lab. It'll define so many aspects on how the game will be handled from a gear perspective for the rest of the game imo

Hello! Thank you for the input! I do agree that that the 100% UQ drop rate was ok. Least they(UQs) come less frequently and it would allow everyone to obtain them more readily. The trigger drop rate on the other hand, I believe should not have been so high. So for instance, a group of 4 people that are fairly decently geared, can run DFI Triggers and clear the fight in the 5-6 minute range. A group of 8 people who are geared can run the triggers & clear it in 4 minutes. Keep in mind, it takes Leciel around 8-9 minutes to clear after the map has started. Given load in times, we'll just say each Leciel takes 10 minutes. With the drop rate being significantly lower than the virtually 99.9999% (I have personally never not seen it drop and I've run it several dozens of times) of running Triggers.

i can't do triggers because no randos will join. you can't do them solo either. that means it's impossible for me to farm them so I am stuck only doing the random UQs. "easy" is relative.

@@somfplease They're virtually 100% drop rate from the UQ & Trigger. As well as under 50k on the Personal Shop on Ship 1 because of the abundance & accessibility of them. New Rank DFI Trigger can be soloed by someone with decent gear in under 10 minutes. They are easy to obtain no matter which way it's looked at.

Completely understandable. It would appear this sentiment is at least somewhat common, in that because the upgrade amount wasn't that big, the ease of getting them was appreciated. I do believe that it ultimately boils down to how impactful & level of difficulty in obtaining materials for the new lab upgrade feature will be.

@@Spikesxu Ordinal Tower had easy to get best in slot weapon once I don't remember if it was after the relik or the rugged people complain about that you think we will get a new weapon with the Ordinal Tower update. I don't remember what month that is

@@andysnyder3844 The updates to Ordinal Tower will be next month (September). Nameless City Sector 3 introduces the new weapon series at the end of this month. So I indeed would expect to see the weapons appear in Ordinal Tower as well.
