I also love the seat in front of the seco d sink, for people who may not use a wheelchair in the bathroom but still need to sit down! I dont think I've ever seen that before.
Im going to book extra seating next to me. Bc after one time, completely protected.. it got so damaged. Never again. But have a new chair now. Since last week. Seriously, I'm going to book 2 seatings next to each other. Just for this. (My wheels only are already 4500 euros.. like wtf).
My tire once fell off my chair as I was getting off the bus (It got caught on the ramp edge and pulled it straight off. I was able to retrieve the tire and Thank goodness I had my wheelchair tool with me but I sat there alone for an hour at the bus stop getting my tire back on but the feeling of empowerment when I got the tire back on correctly AND got to the appointment on time.... priceless.
That is a very nice kitchen design. I would like to point out that some of the countertop height and clearance regulations can make accessable designs less practical for people that don't need these affordances. Again, very nice design, but not necessarily something that should be done everywhere.
What if you had a wheelchair that had a hole in the bottom with a door type latch so when you needed to go to the bathroom you would just opened it and backup to the toilet so you would have to touch the toilet seat
I think if a non disabled person is designing a home for someone who is wheelchair bound, it should be mandatory that they themselves traverse it with a wheelchair.
Whew!! That's a hefty large price. I myself am trying to get a wheelchair for ambulatory use. I have Copd, a seizure condition and RA, which makes getting around on foot very difficult. But the prices are crazy high. Thankfully I do have a cane and my rollator which helps me for now but, I do want more independence and I know a wheelchair would be able to provide that.
Definitely wirth it. However if you travel overseas at all, paying the extra money to upgrade precheck to Global Entry is worth it. Global entry has saved me hours coming back into the US after work trips.
While yes all of it is costly do you really need that last item don't get me wrong I just mean everything in general is expensive and talking about something that cost 16,000 and you could definitely live without just doesn't sit right with me
It's a bike for a person with a physical disability!. So she shouldn't exercise and do things cause she is in a wheelchair? U sound so ableist u should be a shamed of yourself. And it's like she probably doesn't NEED IT but WANTS IT like U ABLES with ur MOUNTAIN BIKES and MOTORCYCLES, which COSTS JUST AS MUCH. do u need those? No, u want them, and no one GOES TO U AND COMPLAINS cause IT'S A WANT, NOT A NEED, and she should WANT things just like ABLE BODIES.
I mean, tons of TH-camrs flex about their Lambos and Ferraris. Showing off expensive things on the internet is by no means a new thing. But I think the intention is different. She is trying to raise awareness on how much it costs to be a disabled person. Both for necessities and recreational equipment.
@ellaneruda fair enough you do have a point. From my perspective tho idk I make about 24,000 a year and I can barely afford all my necessity so spending 16,000 on one thing is simply unimaginable for me especially if I was disabled in some way
Yeah I am dreading the day I have to pay for it myself, forget college debt I will be buried in endless fees. From hospitals, medicines procedures, and wheelchair or tools I know I will probably fall into debt at least once. I just wish the things we need to function could be cheaper.
No need to dehydrate yourself! I’ve been a wheelchair user since childhood (T5 complete) and I travel most of the year for work, like 50-60 flights per year. Just let the flight attendants know you need to use the bathroom and they will help you. All southwest planes have an onboard aisle chair. They will help you with all the transfers if you need.
If you tell the flight attendants you need to use the bathroom they will bring an aisle chair and help you transfer to the toilet, if there is not an aisle chair, I scoot on my butt pulling with my hands and the flight attendants help me up onto the toilet, and wait for me to knock,
I’m a paraplegic and I fly very frequently for work, I always used Southwest even if they were a little more expensive. You could roll right up to the front row and hop over. Also if i’m assigned an aisle seat or middle seat, I can’t stand up to let the other passengers in to their seats or out to use the bathroom. I have no sensation and worry about my feet getting stepped on or my knees getting knocked. Luckily I’m really tiny and my seat width is only 12” so my wheelchair fits down the aisle,
Humans always find a way
How do you go on like airplanes and stuff since you have to be in a wheelchair and I love how your house is like so easy for you
I have a question, could you shower with the wheelchair or could that damage it and is it rain safe?
You definitely don’t want to shower with a chair like this. You’d want to opt for a shower wheelchair or a shower seat.
hello from nepal

That is so cool! Would love to see this in more homes! Thank you for sharing this!🩷🩷🩷
That's amazing! The stove top and sink cut out is ideal for most people!
This kitchen is beautiful and extremely intelligent! I am absolutely losing it to the idea of cats turning on and off the water tho 😂
I put the faucet to the side for access. This looks super functional.
It would be good for small people
This is actually very nice wow
YOU MUST BE RICH AF.
This isn’t her house

Generic thirst comment about how beautifull she is
Show what they do
Wow, most paraplegics can't afford that and the government only provides a little. At least she has that and is making the best of it.
As a guy who grew up poor the message I'm getting is thank God I'm not paralyzed bc my family couldn't have afforded any of this
That's why she mentions the importance of grants and community support
