If you do more work on the engine look into the philosophy of the big rig engines. Low Rev/High Torque engines. You’d probably have to have a custom grind camshaft. But I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work in your setup and the way you operate your truck

looking good. i just started the turbo 300 i built for my 48 ford the other day. finally got enough cooling, fuel, accessories, and wiring done to give it some test starts. it runs good. can't wait to see yours run too.

Please don’t leave it sitting like this on an engine stand. The inline 6 will sag and wipe out the bearings or at worse cause a crack in the block. These engines need to be on a sturdy table and moved around with a cherry picker. If you were to take the cam out and leave it for a week and come back, the came will not go in because the engine is sagging. Just be careful

I'd say those welds are plenty good enough. I have quite a few ugly welds on my twin turbo 300 manifold. I made the intake and exhaust one solid piece with a 3/8" mild steel flange I designed in Fusion 360. I used 1-1/4" schedule 40 pipe, if I'm remember correctly. It weighs a metric fuck ton. Love the truck.

Cool truck/video! Can I ask what brakes you're running, you seem to have modified most things. Are you using stock F250 front brakes or an upgrade?

I like your truck, looks good up high. On my "65 F100, I run a 300. I put a set of the efi exh mnflds on. Then two plain jane mufflers. After them...are two short pipes that turn out before the pass rear tire. Less back pressure. The engine is stock. Using a granny 4 speed, 3.70 r & p. The truck really likes the efi exh mnflds. It breathes so much better.

What kind of mpg do you see with this thing?

I was looking for a truck rather recently and remembered learning about the Ford I6. I made it my goal to find a truck with this engine and 4wd. There are a few trucks spotted with the engine. Found some for under a grand. Even though I spotted some 460's I'm focused on the I6, which are 300ci.

Can you introduce the Spider FX without upgrading the to a digital dash? I don't mind the additional screen on the left of the dash but I would like to keep my OEM dash cluster if possible.
