Im sorryyy,i dont understand how the rope will work After sewing it in between both fabrics, how will you tie it I dont get
The rope would be on the inside of the dress, like stitched in between the front and back fabric…so when you wear it the rope should be dangling inside the dress then you’d just tie it on your back.

Okay, for the length I just stopped it where the fabric ended which was 60 inches, then the width was the 2 yards folded into four.

Just saw a video from this channel and here i am watching everything 🥰. You are so talented. A little suggestion. Don't use your fabric scissors for paper 😢it would make it go blunt. I learnt this the hard way . Try using a smaller scissors for the paper cutting

Please what fabric did you use?
An Ankara fabric for the blue and crepe for the black,(but it’s best to use a light fabric cause of heat).

Beautiful dress..but how will d back gathered b attached..would really love to see a finished back
You would gather the plain fabric and just sew it on the Ankara like attaching gathers too a waistband. I’ll make a short video with the full dress soon.
