@@juantika6087 just be safe and don’t over rev.
@@backyardrestorations I’m having an issue on mine right now where it’s held at wide open all the time do you know what this could be
@@juantika6087if you have a aftermarket carb I’d tune it that can be the main problem
Not how this works what do ever 😂
The rest of the 21k people don’t have a problem.
12hp with a 50cc is already pretty good but I would go for a 21mm carb instead, 30mm is waaaay too big And I am guessing that you are building this bike for a 50cc race but if it isn't the case, the 88cc kits are the cheapest in terms of power-price at around 22-28hp
It has a 77cc kit

Have you ever seen a DVD movie disk at the beginning, where the is a FBI warning to anybody who copies/distributes the artists/owners work, (which can be a remake copy of another previous movie.)? $250,000 fine and 10 years in prison I think it says. Why does hollywood get that protection, and people who actually make products that are worth something don't?
That’s an excellent point
the thing is a 4 stroke grenades
I actually drilled mine out a little bit…??? Whatever works I guess.
It seems there are different quality of fakes from China. I ordered 2 sets from different places on Aliexpress, and the one is identical to originals, the name badge, and numbers in the material. The other, you can see a mile away, is knock off's. I have not tested either yet, but I will soon.
One more problem with doing business with communism is after some USA/Europe dupe has their product made there, the commies have been known to make extra parts, and under cut their own business partner on line. communism makes terrible business partners.
Hi mate, how reliable would this setup be?
I had no reliability issues with this specific setup.

Now, just fill the tank with that and you should be good to go!
Hey just curious how much are these worth ? One just came up for sale here locally
I bought mine for 1200 but I could Easily get 2500 or more. Depends on condition mileage and mods.
can you show how you did it i’m having a lot of trouble getting mine out
I used the head stud as a slide hammer
@@backyardrestorationsthe head stud bolt doesn’t even fit into the rocker pin threads?
@ianhort2033 okay you have the newer one. An m6 bolt will work fine with a little heat as well.
Largely depends upon the level of tune, it seems. They *can* be more reliable *IF* they are sufficiently detuned, e.g. to “CG-250” levels, and *IF* they are of good design, made properly, and made of good materials. This same thing applies to two-strokes as well, however.
12hp from 50cc ? That's what I need for my motorized bicycle. My 49mm iron sleeve cylinder came all out of whack....You can see the intake port is crooked/sideways along with other problems.
Yeah those Chinese cylinders won’t ever make any power. Get yourself a minarelli vertical kit. That’s what this engine is. Minarelli AM6
@@backyardrestorations The non dud 49mm can make decent power 45-47mph top speed for the price ($35 top end kit) On my current bike I'm only looking to go 40 mph but still keep some bottom end power. Once I get a strong steel full suspension bike frame built and stronger wheels. Then I'll be willing to get better motor $.
Get a Boyesen rad valve, they made my bottom end amazing!
@@backyardrestorations I'll be happy with my motorized bicycle once I get the dud 49mm port trimmings straightened out. Most people were able to just grind away the iron overhang casting on theirs without doing any port trimming work and they ran good. I'm running a reed valve now coz it had major carb spitting. I did a window piston, intake boost port & 3rd intake transfer port. Once I get bottom spacers made installed to fix transfer port trimming. It should run good. My 47mm jug runs good, gonna try and copy its measurements/ port trimmings onto the 49mm. The reed doesn't really make any more power than piston port on the China mb (unless all port work done perfectly to proper numbers and angles) but does improve mpg and get rid of carb spitting. Wish I had a degree wheel and knew exactly what trimming and angles to port everything to.

@@backyardrestorationsathena 80 ?
Isnt the carb a bit on the larger side?
So all you have to do is make sure that wire is pulled all the way back ?
Pretty sure. Just make sure there isn’t any slack.
How much was this engine and where can I find it out?
It’s 300 and you can get it at harbor freight.
I like the loud music
Unless you have a big enough engine that you actually need a carburetor this big just use the NT carburetor. I know for a fact it's good for over 50mph if properly tuned. You can get jets for them that go to at least 90 and that will handle a lot
A big carb like that is good for constantly WOT applications like mine.
@@backyardrestorations yea it's not good to hold these 2 stroke bicycle engine at wot for long
It’s a disposable engine.. who cares. I would see it that way if you dumped a bunch of money into it.
@@backyardrestorations I don't just buy the cheap ones for 130 bucks. I just got a zeda 80 for a different bike and it's almost broke in and I already have a high performance head and exhaust for it along with a ported cylinder and windowed piston and reed valve so when I get it together I want to get it tuned and get a few hundred miles on it before I just blow it up
@@Westhelockpicker there’s also a difference between WOT and high RPM.
More like harder to maintain
What main jet are you running
I believe I was using 130
@@backyardrestorations I have the same carb on my bt100 but when I go full throttle it just cuts out I tried going leaner and then richer but can’t seem to get it right with the jets that came with the kit. Please help
Clutch is slipping
It’s been replaced.
Just block the two ends of the power jet hose
These engines don’t even make enough vacuum to utilize the power jet so cutting it out won’t do anything.
@@backyardrestorations yes it does it works
I love 2 strokes but lol it would be very easy to make a montage of 2 strokes blowing up
That is for sure
4 strokes are reliable if your are not an idiot to not take care of it and abusing the bike lol
I probably overpayed but I just got one of these for 650 running
I definitely overpaid. I bought it for 400 needing a top end.

@@backyardrestorations about what
I put a fake Vforce 3 on a am6 engine and it's still holding up pretty well after a month of abuse, Not a daily bike just a beater i wouldn't recommend putting one on any expensive parts tho as you never know
Oh really? I own an am6 also!! Did you feel any power difference? I have malossi carbon reeds now. Do you recommend I switch them out?
@@backyardrestorations i can't say i noticed a power difference as i only ran that engine with the fake reeds, But should indefinably flow better than the stock reeds and less power then a real Vforce as the quality is not great and the reeds are cheap and thicker material
@@backyardrestorations But yeah i wouldn't really recommend putting it on an engine you really care about as they could break

Good video thanks
I’m glad you liked it
can u give me a link to the carb
I wouldn’t recommend the carb to be completely honest. I’d rather you go with a mikuni VM18 much higher quality and much more appropriate for a 66/80cc engine. What mods have you done to your bike?
Spark plugs don’t do much of anything. You should upgrade your exhaust and head before you even consider carburetor work.
